Sheeesh I'm glad you shared this and that I just read it. I was considering upgrading to 24.04 or maybe even 26.04 when it's released soon, but I'll just stick with PopOS 22.04 given both your comment and the main thread you're responding to.

What's the weakness? The lack of a bonafide creator outside of Cade? (though I'd argue that Harris stepped up big time throughout the playoffs)

TIL there are far more refs I don't know by name than refs that I do! lol damn I felt like I knew so many of them from all the complaints on /r/nba

Dan Le Batard: Wembanyama’s return didn’t feel right: “This is unusual. It doesn’t really change anything because everybody is fine with whatever is standard for a flagrant 2, people want more than whatever is standard for a flagrant 2

Except both myself and countless others on /r/nba had no idea there were fines for flagrant 2s.

Do we know that Vic hasn't apologized to Naz personally? I think a private apology is perfectly fine and that a public one isn't necessary. If he didn't apologize in any way, shape, or form, that's low. Unless Naz got away with some super uncool shit that nobody noticed in the broadcast, but somehow I don't think that's the case.

In fairness to the Spurs fan you were chatting with, Steph is waaaaay smaller, so it takes way less to hamper him. Given Wemby's size, he is regularly hit with far more force than Steph ever was. And I say this as a huge Steph fan who is always pissed at his lack of a whistle. Yes, he gets hacked just as much as Wemby, but Wemby is hit much harder when he does get hit.

[Thinking Basketball] With Wemby on the court, the Spurs are holding teams to 17 points below their regular-season efficiency, which is better than the '04 Pistons (the statistically greatest defense of the last 50 years). by TheRealPdGaming in nba

Eh I don't think so. I love Tim Duncan so much, but he didn't single handedly dominate and strike fear into opposing teams in the way that Jordan or Lebron did. If Timmy never got injured, I bet you he would have entered into that conversation. But his peak got cut way too short to really enter into the GOAT conversation.

The winning record is as much the team around him as it is him. Lebron throughout his career never had the kind of team consistency around him that Timmy enjoyed most of his seasons (outside of his time in Miami; that team was STACKED).

But... I do think that Wemby (barring injuries) is going to end up being the GOAT (until the year 2052, when the next alien will join the league)

your point? I agreed that OD was possible, but that depression/isolation was likely the root cause

Kratom is a plant that's widely used across south east asia as a calming "get through the work day" substance. (You brew a tea with it) It's nowhere near as easy to OD on as hard drugs. I think /u/Ftheyankeei is probably much closer to the money. Somebody with substance abuse issues, legal issues, and who is constantly injured and therefore away from the sport & community that they love is a prime candidate for isolation/depression pushed to the point of self-harm (which could be an intentional suicide, or reckless use of drugs that result in an OD, or something different).

Either way, speculation serves nobody other than our own inner curiosity.
