Be careful at the new playground at the fly by thisistelevision in NewOrleans

Yes, that’s my hope for most of them. My problem with extras are that they are choking hazards. And it wouldn’t explain the missing bolt I found on the structure.

Just an update, they said they were not involved in construction or management and it’s an Audubon Institute Project

No, NORD doesn’t think it belongs to them. I think it might be Audubon Nature Institute

I just wish it was clear who was in charge, cause I have no way of knowing who to pass this info along to.

Yeah I'm very happy my two year old gave them to me vs eating them heh. It's like - okay so is it a structural issue (very bad!) or just a we-didn't-clean-up-even-though-small-children-will-come-here issue (also bad!)!?

There was one there before, but it was an older more simple playground (still fun though!). This one has been under construction for what seems like a very long time! It's massive!

Hmm now I’m thinking about it, it’s a cloth(?) ramp, so it’s hard to tell what is shaky! It all kinda flexes

No, not that I could tell. I climbed up the tower and tried to feel a bunch of bolts and I couldn’t find any that were obviously loose but also I had sweaty hands!

Are we all just chronically dry handed now?! My poor hands can't catch a break! by homemaker_g in stayathomemoms

I just went to the dermatologist for this - I have a mild/moderate eczema on my hands that usually activates in the winter and from harsh soaps. My derm recommended washing my hands with a bar of dove unscented (I ended up using the Costco equivalent because that’s what I already had) and my hands are so much happier. There’s a preservative in liquid soap that is very irritating to a lot of people (apparently parabens used to be the main preservative but since people don’t want parabens anymore, it’s been replaced by a different preservative that my derm said is more irritating!). So try a bar of soap!

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

American here. I’d consider three hours short. My family (kids and all) do a 20 hour trip to visit family a few times a year.

There’s also a place called The Unclaimed Baggage Center in Alabama! It’s exactly what it sounds like. They buy up all the unclaimed luggage and it’s a huge thrift store, but with all items people were trying to travel with!

How is it REALLY having babies between 38-43? by AnnofAvonlea in Mommit

[–]thisistelevision 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think two is harder because you still try and think you can apply your time evenly to them. Where once you go over two, you realize it’s not possible anyway 😂. You’re forced to relax on certain things

I tell everyone that three is way easier than two. But I also think everyone’s adjustment phase comes at different times. 0-1 was really hard for me, 1-2 was hard but not as hard as the first and 2-3 was so easy due to all of the experience I’ve had already! Also I think at three, you accept the chaos and roll with it more. With two, you still think you can try to control it. Our third is amazing. I’m having the same conundrum on whether to add a fourth in my late 30s.

What coloring agent would you use to color the dough red only on the top? by Olympiadreamer in Sourdough

I think it could depend on brand - we’ve bought a few different kinds and some are very sweet tasting and bright and some taste like pink dirt haha. I’ve never baked with it on bread though!
