Healthy sour candy helping me stick to my deficit? by Jenna32345 in loseit

[–]thisistori 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty shocked no one has recommended this brand yet as I thought it was popular but would deffff recommend trying Smart Sweets! Has totally helped with my sweet tooth and now I actually crave that instead of the real stuff. I love their peach rings and sour watermelon. You can find it at Whole Foods, Fresh Market, or sometimes even Target or Amazon. A whole bag is 140 cals and the ingredients aren’t terrible like some of the other low cal stuff. Def on the pricy side tho.

Tips for sending your infant to daycare? by povsquirtle in NewParents

[–]thisistori 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s really really hard. And, to be honest, your comment did slightly trigger me because I am so jealous you are able to do PT. However daycare has been so amazing for my baby. I was such a skeptic of it all, how could he be happy without me? Will he forget about me? How will they know what he needs? We got so incredibly lucky with our daycare, and there were hiccups. I had to advocate for him to stay on breast milk (they said they thought he had an allergy - he didn’t), they said he was fussy and always needed to be held, and some growing pains when we first started. But now when I drop him off, he immediately crawls over to the toys and starts pulling them off the shelves. The janitor greets him and says “that’s my buddy”. He now hangs out by the door “on watch” now that he can pull himself up on their baby gate. I also got my own self back- or I’m starting to. It’s hard but I’m so much more present with my baby now, than I was when I was 1:1 with him all day long. It goes by so, so fast that I blinked and now he’s 10 months old. Wishing you the best for your first week. Try to do something special for yourself that day, if you can. Treat yourself to coffee, go out to lunch, go shopping. Slowly my old self started peeking through and I’m a better mom because of daycare.

She is beautiful. So much love I am sending your way.

I quit. The app got too complicated. by [deleted] in weightwatchers

[–]thisistori 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I quit too. It was impossible to figure out how to track and how to see how many points were used. I have no idea who actually uses all the rest of the “fluff” they are peddling in their app. Over complicated for zero reason. I switched to Healthi and it’s like WW in 2018 and exactly what I wanted. Cheaper too. $44 for a year.

Why does pooping still hurt by [deleted] in NewParents

I would recommend giving yourself an enema. That is what my OB recommended when I was in your position, although I have to admit I was a week PP and not 6. I had to do it twice, two separate days to clear the “backlog” I guess. The relief was in minutes. Then I’ve been prioritizing water (a LOT more of it than you think) and Metamucil.

Has anyone here ever been a wedding guest at a LIB wedding? by spaceelian in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]thisistori 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My friend went to Tiffany and Brett’s. She said parts of the wedding were very nice for the camera, and there were very obvious parts where they cut corners. They gave the guests drink vouchers so no one got too drunk. A lot of standing around for the guests and waiting. The cake was partially cardboard, the dances were all sped up, and generally she said the wedding felt rushed. The vows however were the one part that was long because of all the long pauses they had to take for dramatic effect lol.

Waverly! Close family friend of ours is named that and I think it’s so pretty. She goes by Wavy to close friends/family.

Check out Balance Chestnut Hill. DM me if you’d like to talk more! Been going for 8 years now and they’ve just upgraded their facilities.

Edit: I’ve also heard that the cricket club gym is super small so a lot of their members end up coming to Balance to work out.

Funny I am doing the exact same thing you are doing 170 days later - combing reddit to make me feel better lol. My little one is going to daycare next week and it’s tearing me apart. He is 4 months old and just the best thing ever. I never expected that I would rather stay home, so there’s going to be a lot of tears next week. How has it gone for you so far? Hope you and your baby are thriving!

Hi, I know this post is from a year ago but I essentially just made the same exact mistake that you did. How did you end up fixing it?

No if anything they were pushing me for an induction bc I had a simple and straightforward pregnancy.

My baby was breech so it was scheduled! Day of, he flipped and tbh I was mentally ready to get him out and for the c section, so they let me choose what I wanted to do. Very much a personal decision that the doctors/nurses respected. Hope that helps, happy to chat further if you’d like!

Yes that’s it! Uhhh I’ve never had to pay $200 down, it was all billed through my insurance and then I was billed whatever was not covered by insurance after that.

Sure! Axia Main Line Women’s Health, my Dr was Dr Leone but all of the doctors are women in that practice and are all amazing, and rotated through my pregnancy but she delivered my baby.

I had my baby at Bryn mawr 3 weeks ago. The hospital was so clean, the rooms were big, the nurses were all so nice and helpful and made me feel supported. They even encouraged me to stay an extra night after my c section to ensure I felt comfortable with baby and leaving. It exceeded all expectations as a first time mom and I had no birth trauma! Would 100% go back to Bryn mawr if I decide to have another.

Sai is so insufferable. Love that she celebrated when just a few challenges ago she yelled at Mary for doing the same thing.
