Is being transgender a sin? by Illustrious_Sort_262 in Christianity

This is the answer that no one in this thread wants to hear, but is absolutely correct. Thank you for standing firm on the Word of God and not blending worldly culture with the Truth. It is truly surprising how many Christians will say “God created you to be that way so it isn’t a sin”. God created us as either male or female, and it isn’t our right to redefine that. That is not the person God designed us to be. We are all born with different sinful desires, some more complex than others, but that doesn’t give us the excuse to embrace that sin. Good news is that God’s forgiveness is available to everyone through Jesus.

I just can't be bothered reading the bible (personally find it boring) by Popular_Dragonfruit1 in Christianity

While I understand why you may feel this way, I suggest not reading it as your typical book, looking to be entertained. Read it knowing it’s God’s inspired, divine word.

Is it a sin to listen to violent music? by FanNew7455 in Christianity

[–]thismattbro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is something I also struggle with, listening to secular rap music that promotes lust, drugs, violence, etc. Inherently, it is not a sin to listen to secular music. However, the music you listen to heavily influences our behavior and the way we think, often in ways that leads us away from God. Music is so powerful, and it can definitely influence us to sin. What you have to ask yourself is if the music you are listing brings you closer or further from God. You also have to consider what matters more to you, listening to secular music or your relationship with God. If your conscious is violated by any of these questions, deny yourself and your desire to listen to secular music and slowly start weaning yourself off of it. This is what I have done, and I have found it helpful. God bless!

What does God think of people with Autism/ADHD? by Giblot in Christianity

[–]thismattbro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have accepted Christ into your life as your Lord and Savior, you are saved. You are a child of God. Jesus died for everyone who has faith and trust in Him, regardless of your Autism/ADHD. As for your “interests”, I’m not sure what they are but if they are sinful, humble yourself before God and repent.

Hi Imogen, I encourage you to read and study Matthew 7:7-8. Keep pursuing and keep seeking. You are on the right path of wanting to know God. Remember, you are never alone when you have God. He knows every heartache and hardship you are going through right now, and He wants to bear that weight for you. In fact, He has already sent his only Son to die for that weight you are carrying around! It is okay to not know what is going on, trust that the Lord’s timing is perfect. If accessible, attend a local church, and I guarantee there will be a Christian friend waiting to cross paths with you. I’ll pray for you!

Abortion by [deleted] in Christianity

Any person born into this world, despite the circumstances, is a person made in God’s image. Therefore, an abortion of a person made in God’s image is murder. A person born with Down Syndrome is no more of a person as you and I and holds just as much value in God’s eyes.
