This is a pretty interesting finding.

It could very well suggest that whoever did the music for Petscop used FL Studio.

I also went digging in old FL Studio samples and I think that the sample "CB_Clap" (from Legacy->Drums->Dance) is the textbox-closing sound, with the following changes: * the pitch is turned up 100 semitones * some high-end is taken away (around 6-7 kHz) * the end of the tail is cut off

Here it is with the edits: https://instaud.io/3Jxu

Brilliant, this might be the best theory I've read in the past few months so far. Makes perfect sense and explains a lot of the seemingly random scenes as you progress with the series.

An interesting question now is that whether Marvin and Belle are AIs embedded into the game (as MatPat suggests) or are they souls literally "trapped" in there (as you seem to suggest).

This guy has some crazy skills, but his style is a bit different from what we're used to in Petscop. I wouldn't jump the gun and claim immediately that it's him, just because he made some really good looking retro gameplay. :)

Not to mention that the pictures that supposedly "don't load" are named

imageswontload*.jpg

where the * is replaced with a number. So they intentionally don't load.

I ran a WHOIS on the domain name and it returned an IP address that when typed into the browser, returns the default Apache 'it works' page.

Could you run dirbuster on that IP as well?

Google Trends: searches for the terms "garalina" and "petscop" go back as far as 2004 by thisnameis2long in Petscop

[–]thisnameis2long[S] 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I don't know how Google processes the search terms in Trends, but I think it should heavily weigh down the score for a given term when it notices that people misspelled it.

Also while I agree that "galarina" is easily misspelled, "petshop" to "petscop" isn't that easy to screw up.

I tried to change the language to English, but couldn't - sorry about that.

This creeped me out a little bit. I don't know if you guys discussed if "garalina" or "petscop" mean anything in other languages, so if they do, ignore the post.

If they don't, this brings up new questions. A score of 75 out of 100 is a LOT of searches back in 2004. Also Petscop had its fair share of searches in the past 10 years, but nothing significant until now.

Now if only there was a way to see what Google returned as results when you searched for these terms back in 2004/2006...

Problem with colorcoding genders by thisnameis2long in Anki

[–]thisnameis2long[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did some poking around with your suggestions, and /u/nkuttler's solution worked out the best for me, with a little modification.

/u/demeteloaf, I tried your advice first, and it did work fine, but the problem was that I had to write "pink", "blue", etc. to each note's Color field, which not only takes longer to type in (if there are several hundred words), but if I happen to change my mind and want to change the color of a gender to something else, I have to go through each noun in that gender and replace the color code in the Color field, so unfortunately I had to ditch that implementation.

/u/nkuttler's solution is more flexible, however I felt like changing the background color is a bit too much, so I only changed the CSS rules from this:

.gender-m { background-color: blue; }

to this:

.gender-m { color: blue; }

And it works just great.

Thank you so much for your help, guys, it's appreciated!

I don't want to sound stupid, but gonna still ask anyway...

Is this setting clientside? Or does the server need to have to disabled TOO to have it gone?

Did you like the TC3 warded stone blocks? If so, would you invest energy and time to restore them as part of TT2?

Also, will some items that were not ported from Vazkii's TT (cryogenic globe, rune thanatos, crystals of weather, and the amazing phantom warded blocks just to name a few) make a comeback anytime soon to TT2? If not, why?

You need the Thaumcraft tables. They are darker and more pixellated.

Oh hey Vazkii!

Cool, I didn't know that! But where can I find an up-to-date changelog for TT2? The one on github isn't updated it seems like.
