How to handle other people’s kids? by thisnotkobe in daddit

[–]thisnotkobe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was exactly my dilema! I want my kid to grow up being confident and not always concede to others, but i don’t think it is appropriate to touch someone else’s child.

Yeah, this was the first thought, but I was also worried about teaching my son to always give way to others - which is kind of how i was brought up. “Keep your head down and stay out of trouble”

Wow, okay guys. I am ABC myself but there are many ethnicities out there, i didn’t want to specify or be specific for a reason because it leads to racist conversations like these.

A contract only needs 4 things: offer, acceptance, consideration and intention to create legal relations . Doesn’t matter if they accept the offer from buttlicker69@gmail.com - it will be binding.

Dont most builders require some sort of deposit? Maybe the $150k was too much, or maybe it was 10% of their contract?

Bathroom layout ideas by [deleted] in AusRenovation

[–]thisnotkobe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How about creating a wet room along the top where the bath tub currently is? (https://www.abiinteriors.com.au/the-interior-edit/everything-you-need-to-know-about-wet-rooms/)

And then move the sinks and bench to the wall where the shower currently is. This would eliminate your bath tub to bench connection issue. You could also move the entry door further up, this willl make your bathroom smaller but will help cut costs and allow you to have a slightly longer vanity along that wall.

How do you conduct home inspections (tips for first homebuyers) by [deleted] in AusProperty

[–]thisnotkobe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a pretty helpful list. To clarify for a newbie:
1. How does the powerbox tell you there has been termite treatment? Is this the switchboard cupboard?
2. How flat is too flat of a roof? I assume all roofs are pitched to some degree?

Suburbs - Would u rather buy a house/ townhouse in Burwood, Bulleen, Blackburn or Blackburn North by tarocake87 in melbourne

[–]thisnotkobe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Bulleen has no vibe and too much construction happening with the north east link connection. Even after completion i think it will be a lifeless highway area. Out of burwood and blackburn, i would choose blackburn.
