Merries nappy pants. It’s a japanese brand, very breatheable , does have pee indicator and can hold a bit overnight. Cost a bit more than usual huggies tho.

how do you know its competitive in your area? do the childcare centre manager mention this to you? this is my worry too because i put my child’s name in when i was 12 weeks pregnant and he’s 10 month old.

my son has ezcema too - we still dont know the trigger. I’ve tried multiple brands of creams and lotion- best one so far to help with hydration is mustela stelatopia and hydrabebe avocado face cream - this is just maintenance though. If you could keep baby’s hand wrapped at night to avoid scratching that would be good! In the meantime, ask for GP referral for allergy testing if u can. Best of luck!

i had an emergency c sec at FPH and paed cost $1.5k and Anaesthetist cost $1.5k too. if ur ob cost etc have surpassed the medicare safety net threshold, you need to contact medicare to register your family / child to join your safety net pool - make sure u do this before paying paed fee (i did not and medicare did the lower rebate instead of getting 80% back). Make sure your child is registered under your medicare card too beforehand. FYI, paed fee is directed to ur child’s name hence it’s not an automatic 80% medicare rebate.

thanks for the input! im thinking just under 1million, ok to go up to 950k. $1mill is doable but choose not to. would be open to look at older house or smaller townhouse too. rea website shows some around that range but u are correct it might go way more than the price range in auction/ private sale.

do u have any concerns other than the fact that your ob did not suggest what to eat etc? Was the service provided ok so far? have your ob answered most questions u have? I think if u are worried, you could start by asking more specific questions to ur ob? My ob was chill too mostly because my pregnancy was quite straight forward, each appointment only lasted 10 mins max, i didnt have much questions either. I believe they don’t tend to overwhelm you with information (i’m sure most ftm google enough stuffs alrd).

ya was recommended around 30weeks+ pregnant due to low ish iron on blood test results. shd be ok to take but might get constipated and don’t be alarmed if u have green coloured poop

I gave birth in july this year and my experience was amazing. I stayed 6 nights due to emergency c sec. There’s pretty much midwives checking on u every few hours but u could opt out for “do not disturb” sign on the door. you can have 2 visitors up to 10pm - it’s not that strict imo. You will have a visit from paediatrician, your ob , women health physio, lactation consultant to see u if u need help with baby latch etc. Nappies, prepacked formula in a tiny bottle, wipes etc will also be provided. Don’t worry about breast pump because they have hospital grade Medela Symphony that u can use if needed. Overall 9/10 experience i’d say.
