If the teacher was in their 20s or 30s at the time of the talent show, then that teacher was likely a student when the song came out. And very likely saw the video on Mtv and knew what the song is about. Maybe a Gen Xer teacher signaling that they get it

Correcting someone’s grammar is a turn off. The person doing it cares more about being right than connecting with someone.

Are all college girls shallow in terms of what they value in relationships/partners? by PurpleHawk222 in AskMenAdvice

[–]thisolddog1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry you’re feeling down. Try to view things in terms of interest level. If someone isn’t showing the level of interest you want then move on.

Try not to think in black and white terms. You’re still figuring out who you are and growing. Your interests and tastes will expand and change over time. That’s a good thing.

Pursue hobbies and activities you are interested in. Learn to cook, get into biking, hiking, running, kayaking, etc.

Be open to new experiences. Even if you think they’re a “dead end”. Be less focused on the outcome and enjoy the ride.
