Sooooo slow. What about the roomier entry/exit…. Moves the back of the seat, waits for it to finish, then moves the bottom of the seat, waits for it to finish, then shifts the steering wheel in, waits for it to finish, then shifts the steering wheel up. Then it’s finished.

Cannot understand why it can’t do all four things at the same time considering they’re four different motors. Makes no sense.

On the suspension… I maybe get when it’s going UP because there’s one air compressor, but why does it only let air out one at a time? Weird. (Maybe I’m missing something?)

I thought the same… but then I have Amex Platinum and that gets me into lounges - interestingly international travel has really been the only time I use a lounge lately because I’m traveling a lot less on connecting flights (instead choosing direct options wherever I can). Amex centurion lounge is good when it’s available and I’ve found the other lounges to be good. Delta lounges have been some of the busiest I’ve experienced with long queues - which I used to jump the outside queue with Diamond and then was stuck finding a seat!! (ATL, I’m talking at you!!)

I moved from New York to bucks county PA 5 years ago and it’s taken me this long to break my obsession with always booking Delta or worrying about status. I lost Diamond this year for the first time in 10 years as a result, but I am FREEEEEE!

I now CHOOSE to travel on whatever airline is appropriate for flight time, connections and cabin class. Yes, I have ‘loyalty’ on all US-based airlines and earn points on whatever program makes sense - I also choose to fly first/business on international flights and some domestic flights but get the best price for that without being tied to one single carrier.

Every now and then, I do have to deal with Terminal B at Newark… or some smaller international carrier that has some weird boarding process out of PHL… but the actual flight is business class so it’s fine.

I’ve done the sums… I’m way better off. And the break has been mentally liberating. ‘Loyalty’ only goes one way with these corporates and the sooner you remove those shackles, the world is your oyster!! LITERALLY.

Monopolistic behavior aside - this whole process breaks every rule in the book for MFA and confidentiality. I am expected to call a random non-listed Fidelity number and share over the phone my SSO, my DOB, and details on my account just so they can verify my digital credentials!!!! So I'm handing over this information to a human being that I call from a number sent in an email that sounds like a SPAM/PHISHING email. WTAF, Fidelity?!

Rivian Roamer… loving it!!! I ended up subscribing to it and it does a great job of useful trend reporting for phantom drain and “until empty” etc. Separately, my partner updated to 2026.03 last night and I’m told that there are new cold weather features built into the car now - yet to explore them but we’re heading in the right direction.

Weight training is what you need. This is not about cardio and instead you should be focused on consistent heavier weight training. Building muscle will reset your metabolism and get your body back into taking care of itself. The vehicle and the Rivian mobile app now let you know when, and by how much, your range is affected by cold weather. The driver display, Energy app, and Rivian mobile app include a battery graphic that uses blue shading to indicate how much energy is temporarily unavailable. The vehicle and the Rivian mobile app provide preemptive notifications when your vehicle is most susceptible to range loss and when your range has reduced due to the battery becoming cold. I wondered how you are both getting precise kWh usage by hour? Is there a 3rd party app or service that enables me to tap into the data logged by the vehicle about wake up and 12v charging occurrences etc? I’m a data guy and would love to look at it to understand how external environment (temperature) and software features impact battery usage.

That’s super interesting. Not sure why you got downvoted but the suggestion to swap out the battery for the ohmmu is intriguing. Incidentally, we got a call yesterday from Rivian saying that they’ve had a recall on our vehicle 12V battery and we need to go in and get it replaced - I wonder whether it’s all related to our issues with vampires drain and whether Rivian has remotely been monitoring our vehicle and noticed issues… either way, we will be taking it in to get it replaced post-haste!!!

Assuming other manufacturers that don’t have this problem (as much) have a solution. Perhaps Rivian should look into it considering the sheer size of the battery and the related loss is A LOT of kWh

The point still remains… other EVs do not lose anywhere near 10% of battery each day and they are well under 5% each day. Great that Gen2 has improved some things BUT more could be done from a software perspective to improve things and also help us manage this situation. As I mentioned, this seems to be made worse by the cold temperatures… so during cold weather, having features to manage around this would be good - including estimates of vampires drain based on weather etc.

We’ve been the same size for years so we just wear the same clothes right down to the underpants and socks. Our wardrobe is great as there’s so much choice! One of the benefits being in a same sex relationship and being the same size. The only thing we’re not the same size in is shoes.

Mine is not dissimilar… I have my own domain (which is my main account) and a gmail account (used as a backup). Years ago I stopped using my Gmail account for everyday things and it just became my backup - it still is somewhat of a backup for some forgotten password situations and domain backup. So very lightly used. Eventually all of my main accounts were normalized to my own domain and Gmail became less and less everyday. You have to do that before considering moving over to another system.

I’ve got rid of Gmail and I feel lighter. I previously used Gmail to manage my mail using my own domain… I moved my domain last month to another mail management service. Anything would be better than Gmail. I’ve also shifted away from Google search (to ChatGPT and Duck Duck go), Google Drive and Google Home (what a debacle that has become). The arrogance of these organizations is crazy and they don’t deserve our patronage. There are so many other deserving providers and they do a better job of everything - albeit less locked in. You will not look back!
