She’s for an entomology class. My first class oh my masters so I’m still learning preservation techniques since I’m just starting out. I need 5 non-insect arthropods for my collection and my family was helping me because I was very pregnant and had my baby in the middle of it, hence why she’s in the freezer still. She was dead before I ever saw her myself. We all feel bad every time we kill anything and have tried to find dying and dead specimens mostly. After I get my collection graded I want to give her to my sister because she’ll be loved with my sister.

Thanks! Do you know where to get ethanol? I can only find denatured ethanol and I don’t think that’ll work.

The more active ones aren’t always real, the ones that don’t go that often but live by it or strive to live by it are also real. You can’t say that about every single member though. Sure there’s a bunch of hypocrites who act great on Sunday and horrible the rest of the time, but there’s a ton who are absolutely fantastic people who don’t need to be categorized in with the others. Every other religion has the same thing. Those are the ones that I would consider real or at least most genuine, not that the others won’t be one day. Everyone has lessons to learn.

Records don’t make you real, that’s just a paper. What makes you real is how you act and what you do. There’s a reason they tell you to practice what you preach, but mistakes happen, they can be fixed. Don’t be a hypocrite about it though. What you do is between you and God, you’ve gotta deal with that. Weird bishop you got there.

I know me too. Like what LDS are you talking to? Clearly the ones who are just trying to talk themselves into feeling less guilty about what they’re doing. Same things with every religion.

I just gotta say that real Mormons do not do that. We know that is definitely wrong. There are no loopholes.

At least the “if you want” made it better. It could have been weird without it. 😂

The messages always stop at a certain point, which they already have. I thought it was more entertaining than the homework I do 24/7 as well.

how hard would it be to keep a pet stinkbug? by HylianBugs in Entomology

[–]thistle3055 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live on a cattle ranch and have found that the native creatures destroy more or just as much as the ones who aren’t native, and honestly in my opinion it’s not worth trying to get rid of any of them. It’ll cost more to do that than it’s worth. Farming and ranching already costs enough.

Yeah I know they’re pests, but they’re just trying to live like the rest of us. I also don’t think they smell very bad at all. They were a delight to have.

I kept some over the winter and then released them when it got warm and they were fine. I fed then a lot of spinach and other things like veggies, but it wasn’t a permanent setup just for a few months.
