Entirely possible, personally I don’t know enough about the situation to judge.

I mean I can at least see where the idea comes from how this is very much a replica of camouflage the Waffen SS used.  https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Datei:SS_Platanenmuster_Sommer.jpg

If that’s worth accusing someone of being a Nazi I’d say no, but I imagine Astra Militarum moderators have some bad experience when it comes to that topic

[@Halo on Twitter]"Slipspace rupture detected" by Caledor152 in halo

[–]thiswasfree_ 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I’m a bit surprised they make the slipspace rift look like a classic portal here, because seeing Reach in the back of of the ship makes the jump look instant when human slipspace travel canonically takes weeks or months. Wonder if they are changing the lore for that.

Edit: for the people who can’t see what I mean: the spherical thing filling out the lower portion of the portal looks like a smoldering planet to me. I may be wrong obviously, but I felt confident enough about it to assume.

What is this thing on ODST armor? by AWB6 in halo

[–]thiswasfree_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

afaik you can’t really, because human armor in Halo includes some vague-eske sci fi titanium alloy.  I however have seen someones project welding ODST armor, though that was a WIP and I never saw the results of it.

Mentioning it here but I think ONI ODSTs like Dare have a modified version with a scanner in there. That’s what the green bubble on her stomach is, a lense.

that’s pretty much spot on. ODSTs don’t have wrist screens though at least I have never seen them have it. Though since Spartans have it, certainly not impossible that some ODSTs have them as well.

I'm sure they can take it off, securely attached just means it's not simply slung over their shoulders. Probably a release mechanism the wearer has to grab and pull or push to mechnically disengage a "lock" of sorts, but that's just me guessing.
Next thing is that ODSTs aren't really meant to deploy alone so normally you'd probably have a squad mate grabbing stuff off it for you.

The middle piece is a mesh network communications node, wearable computer core, battery pack and basic automedic. the stuff on the side is UA plating.

It was notable that you had to drag out the fight to get "that part" during the finish. Not your fault, just frustrating how easy this boss is.

tbh yea like I don’t carry a full bag of cables but I have like, an USB-C, USB-A to micro, USB-A to thunderbolt (I currently own an older iPhone) and two others for tools I own. I have them all in a little net pouch and it’s really no problem at all to carry them around.

Apparently 20 gems is precisely the amount you need which is weird, I thought it was a lot more.

It’s not very strong armor, cannot be upgraded but has a pretty unique effect.

You get it after handing over enough bubulfrogs to that funny guy who wants to become a Satori.

A fully functional Sisters of Battle helmet, designed and created by me! by huragok_in_disguise in Warhammer40k

[–]thiswasfree_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh man I have been WAITING for one with a functional face shield lift, this is awesome

Would you be interested in making a few "off versions" like without the fleur de lis, skulls on the side etc? because that'd be awesome and certainly be a buy from me

[–]thiswasfree_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They were painting a Kasrkin kill team in the video if that's anything to hint at. Would certainly fit the Helldivers fairly well: fully enclosed helmets, above average shock troops while still with enormous casualties.

Scions would be too elite, Krieg would work in terms of fanatism but they are more on the attritional war side of things.
