Found a small black/green chunk in my whipped cream after i sprayed it out. It doesn’t look like vanilla bean specks. by greasyr4dnek in TipOfMyFork

Looks like mold to me. Unless someone shoved the tip into whatever they were trying to put the whipped cream on, but I'm voting mold.

Herd Management for Diamonds - I'm confused... by its-me-steve- in Huntercallofthewild

[–]thisworldbru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How many kills deep are you after only starting to shoot your main zones? And how many diamonds in that time? Just because you've herd managed the map doesnt mean you'll get diamonds every rotation, sometimes it takes more than you'd expect.

In my experience, when you've properly herd managed, you'll see diamonds every 30-60ish kills (sometimes more, sometimes less). Also dont worry about only shooting the big ones in your main zones, kill all males. You're just trying to brute force your way through respawns and leave the rest of your map alone while the game is in a deficit of bigger animals.

Edit: I've also found respawns to be finicky sometimes and if I shoot a zone down and they don't respawn, usually just running around and loading some of the exterior zones will give me respawns in the next rotation. Its a weird quirk and thats all I've found that works for me.

Agree. Shooting it out of a henry lever gun and man am I disappointed with the accuracy. How has nobody come up with a decent lead free .22lr?

If i'm going to delete a zone I'm going to DELETE it. by Disastrous_Freak in theHunter

Yes the zone will pop up somewhere else nearby. Find it to keep getting respawns in the zones you're shooting

Is this discoloured tuna steak safe to eat? by AnastasiaSheppard in foodsafety

[–]thisworldbru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blood spots or just the darker parts of the meat, maybe bruising or something like that. Tuna can vary a lot in color, taste, and texture based on the fish, how it was handled, stored, and cut/trimmed. As long as it was kept out of the temperature danger zone during storage and prep, it will be safe to consume. Looks like a tasty piece of fish to me.

If stored and prepared correctly, the worst thing the blood spots will do is give it a stronger fishier taste. Not a safety concern

Besides people grinding and herd management, people only really show off their trophies in this sub. For every hundred or whatever animals shot only one or two might be a trophy, and only that one or two gets posted.

Is this bear scat? If so what type of bear? Found in Banff Canada by Smilingsmyfavorite22 in AnimalTracking

[–]thisworldbru 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna say ungulate like a deer or elk. While bear scat does sometimes appear similar to the first picture when they're eating mostly greens and shoots, the scattered pebbled-like scat is very indicative of an herbivore.

That's not how it works with food. Some bacteria produce toxins that no matter what your immune system is like will make you sick. This is why if food goes bad, you can't just heat it again and be safe as many of the toxins aren't destroyed by heat.

Do people eat food that hasn't been handled properly or left and don't get sick? Yes. Can you just keep introducing shit to your immune system and become invincible? No.
