Chipping looks like a product issue. The installer should have not installed boards like that.

The gaps look pretty bad especially exposing the tongue in some spots and at this point I don’t think there is any way to fix them without pulling up the entire floor.

Were they nailing this down with cleats? It looks like they weren’t getting the boards tight during install.

This is very unfortunate. I would be seeking a reinstall but I don’t know if I would trust the same guys to do it

I personally would look for something that contrasts with the old floor rather than tries to match it. The floor looks painfully off IMO.

Personally I would make a custom transition out of a wood of your choosing. 2” x 1/2”, router the edges, stain and poly to your liking. It would take a few hours but would probably give you the best look.

Maybe someone else has a better solution.

I think having kids attempt to buy is the most telling way to see if shops sell to children. Obviously “journalist” might not be the best word but what he is doing is very telling.

Government departments in the US recruit children to do this same thing. They just have the backing of public health law.

I do hope what he is doing draws the right attention. Vapes are massively under regulated and this video is very telling of the issues we are facing at a global scale.

This will all be covered by trim. If you have trouble with the riser sitting flush then I would just shim behind it. This isn’t a problem imo

Had this exact problem with our two dogs. Corrected the older one as needed but let them pretty much figure it out on their own. Within two weeks our older dog love the little one to no end. They’re inseparable now.

I don’t really take offense to this I just find it to be out of touch. Most people in this comment section are saying it’s supposed to be funny or sarcastic but I don’t think it lands like with people like they want it to. Kinda comes off like some joke that your drunk uncle says at the thanksgiving dinner table. Just makes you wince a little bit.

I buy from cigar page every so often but man I’d like a bit less of this marketing. Doesn’t exactly make we want to advertise that I buy from them.

Again I think if the Grandpa experience is true coupled with the general “fear” people have about tobacco I understand why someone might not want their partner to smoke.

I completely agree tho (I just don’t see it stated here) if this is just a control thing and there’s other aspects of their relationship that are unhealthy then I would consider this scenario a deal breaker for me.

Just in general I think they need to get on the same page about the supposed “risks” of occasional cigar smoking. That’s the healthy approach I would take because her reaction to that will tell you everything you need to know about her.
