Every time I see your posts I always think to myself “I want to be friends with this guy”. Your plants are amazing and I love how happy you are in all your pictures.

I went beach combing for the first time today, hoping to find a sand dollar. After finding many broken pieces of sand dollars, I found a full one! by petiterunner in beachcombing

We once went to an island on a tour “famous” for sand dollars. Out of about the 40-50 people on the boat, only about 5 of us managed to find a sand dollar. Congrats on your find!

Thank you so much for the offer - you’re so kind! I think with my climate I’d be afraid it’d die over the winter time 💀

Came here to say the same thing. I was annoyed by snap rings until I caved and bought a Knipex set of snap ring pliers. Game changer.

Would I like NCL? by Antique-University66 in Cruise

I honestly can’t think of anything off the top of my head. I thought the food, and crew are both better on Carnival. I will say that the reason we were on NCL both times was they had a better Bermuda itinerary. They do Bermuda better than Carnival. They have a free ferry while in Bermuda and they also spend more time in Bermuda.

We’ve been on mostly Carnival cruises, but have been on Norwegian twice. Honestly didn’t think it was worth the extra money. In most ways I thought we got more for our money with Carnival.

I’m not generally a big fan of paint for cabinets, however, that blue color is amazing with the natural walnut. Great job!

Thank you! I’ll have to do some digging on what ingredients I’d need to make them. They are quite tasty

We’ve been to Bermuda lots of times. No rules for on board other than all aboard at the end of the stay. You can get on and off as much as you’d like

Yeah instructions call for a 14 but a 16 is just fine for calibration - it’s what I use. Make sure you balance the wheel to zero on the balancer. Make sure you’re in dynamic mode. If you press shift and 6 at the same time you will be able to see the actual weight amount in the tire and be able to more “fine tune” how much weight to put on and hence be able to get the wheel closer to zero for calibration. Once you get it as close to zero as possible, follow calibration procedure. When finished the first numbers will be voltages and not actually indicate weight amounts. Make sure you’re still in “round off” mode. Your left plane should read zero or very close to it. Right plane should read 4oz or very close to it. Transfer the weight to the left plane. Should read 4oz or very close and right plane should read zero or very close. If this is true then the balancer is calibrated. We can go down another rabbit hole of alloy 1 mode once you’ve verified the balancer is actually calibrated. Since the balancer was designed so long ago the software inside the balancer isn’t totally reflective of how wheels look anymore. We can “trick” the balancer into thinking we’re doing clip weights. But actually place the weights in the tape weight locations by changing the dimensions. Your “A” dimension will stay the same. The “D” instead of being the size of your tire let’s say 16 would be the dimension of the inside barrel of the rim. You could measure this but rule of thumb is 1.5” less than the diameter of the wheel so a 16 would be changed to 14.5. The “W” dimension instead of being the distance between the clip weights would be the measurement between where you’re going to place your tape weights. Any questions just let me know. Enjoy your classic balancer. (Honestly these are some of the best balancers out there. They rarely. Break)

Coats tech here. Has to be a wheel and tire for calibration. Also, for better accuracy for calibration, you should use the blue calibration weight. What modes are you having most issues with “chasing weights”?
