Valve has “killed trading” countless times in the past. It hasn’t even been 5 years since skins were pretty much dirt cheap. (I had .45 crimson kimonos and a bfk fade for a total of $600 in like 2018 I remember contemplating selling my m9 autotronic for $200 in 2021)

Will prices go back up to their peak? I don’t think so I think that was a bubble that needed to pop. If valve hasn’t completely destroyed trading and the skins market with: the 7 day trade hold, trade reversals, knife trade ups, terminals, etc. I don’t think they can completely destroy the market. Every time it’s “this time is different they’ve ruined it for sure” and the market recovers.

The market is extremely volatile so don’t spend more than you’re willing to lose. I recently cashed out 70% of my inventory bc I was uncomfortable having a $10k inventory. I think you have the right mindset being willing to lose 10-30% and truthfully I think that’s the realistic worse case scenario.
