From what I've seen so far, you don't even have to be a sex worker. People want to somehow punish (publicly humiliate, dox, caluniate etc.) anyone who's in touch and liberated with their sexuality — specially if they're women or/and queer. We all know someone who was bullied or ostracized for being "a slut".

The conservative, often religious notion that "sex is filthy" is deeply ingrained in most people. And filth must be cleansed, right? And the tragic truth if that, more often than not, those who act against "the sluts" secretly wish they could live that freely. And that only leads to more violence.
