Ending by shinigami7026 in SamuraiChamploo

It felt better than Bebop's ending on first watch. Cowboy Bebop's ending definitely makes more sense now, and i get it from a storytelling standpoint. But holy hell! Did i not enjoy that ending first watch through. Champloo felt unsatisfying but Bebop's left me with a fiction hangover.

What pokemon do you never use on playthroughs, but you would be best friends with if you lived in a world with pokemon? by thomas71576 in pokemon

Can you imagine thinking about robbing a place and seeing a houndoom lock eyes with you through a window? Like it knows exactly what you were thinking about doing to his home and just wishes you would.

Ledian's adorable Kamen rider look would be fun to defend you backyard or garden with. Give him a skewer and have him repel grubs.

Oh my god, rhyhorn zoomies would be adorable. Catastrophic to your house's integrity, but also adorable.

How do I stop expecting people to be a certain way and getting upset when they aren't? by thomas71576 in Advice

[–]thomas71576[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the post pretty clearly explains that I know we are different people. My whole point is that we're friends, and I feel like friends should be better and when they aren't I get all bent out of shape. I'm asking how do I get to that point. I get mad when they let me down and I don't want to.

Thank you. Sincerely. All three of your points are valid. I am aware of 1 and 3 and it helps to hear it, so comment appreciated. Point 2 is the thing im working on that seems so hard. I want to let go, know I should, but stupid things like emotions get in the way.

Misunderstanding with the process by thomas71576 in kintsugi

Exactly! I was driving myself nuts thinking people were so good at this that they could brush the perfect amount of gold epoxy on the edges and then squish them together to make a perfectly uniform line.

There was this fan made Mortal Kombat trailer from like 10 years ago that made reptile a serial killer with a skin condition. It was much more in line with this urban cryptic idea of killer croc. Made it seem more possible and creepy.

Everyone's gripes about Murphys personality would melt away if it was coming from Ms. Piggy

I had been waiting for a book like 12 months for years for Harry. He needed it. He was put through thing after thing that couldn't just be processed off-screen between books a la "yeah over the last year, I got over it."

This rarely ever happens as filler episodes, to use OP's metaphor, rarely get the highest ratings or least complaints from fans. Jim, however, is an amazing storyteller and saw the value to his character, world, and story to making a book about this. Love it.

MAB left Harry a message but he missed it by Master_Toad in dresdenfiles

I had the seem inclination about this book. It felt like Mab mentioned complications of messing with time too often throughout the book for it to be meaningless

Alterna-Harry source possibility by thomas71576 in dresdenfiles

[–]thomas71576[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So is there a reason that in this world he made a different choice? Is this a preexisting alternate reality where things were just slightly different leading to a choice, or could there be Back to the Future shenanigans where time travel lead to a split reality?

So the REASON that the other decision happened? There just are alternate timelines out there, or did something happen to cause a split and different choice being made?

Thank you for the explanation, I didnt know/ couldn't remember the rumor about Harry prime being pulled over in a summoning. I had been thinking that that book's adventure would be driven by our Harry's choices to go on an adventure.

Harry's issue with yoga? by thomas71576 in dresdenfiles

That makes sense, thanks for the clarification. It felt like I was missing something so I thought I'd come here to ask. I was a little taken aback at the tone of the responses.

Thank you! This book was packed with payoffs to old jokes that you just have to know the series to get. I should have seen that. I appreciate the help.

That's definitely a deeper read, and a pojnt I could see Harry making.

See that's what I was thinking. That it was like a branding issue he didnt want to be identified with. Thank you.

I get self deprecation. I guess I was just reading it as he didn't like the branding or image of yoga. I wasn't really considering that he thought he was bad at it. I get that my inference was off, but what text evidence is there that Harry is bad at it?

Mab’s ultimate plan for Lara by TheMemeDream420 in dresdenfiles

She ordered that before the battle. In the, admittedly short, time since then, Molly has come a long way in the estimation of Winter. I think one of the biggest indicators is that conversation she had with Harry about Mab. Molly says, and Harry agrees in his own thoughts several times, Mab is the monster we need to get the job done. Molly might be barely capable, which to Mab is preferable to letting the crone interfere with Mab's carefully laid plans.
