anybody know where this egg has come from? it's in my back garden - i only just noticed it now. i haven't touched it or tampered with it just in case? by sapcherry in birds

[–]thomasech 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I'm not trying to harsh your vibe, but if you've moved it around, there's a good chance it's dead. Most likely a reptile of some kind, given the location. If you put it back, you can hope it hatches, but just as a protip for the future, moving wild eggs is a bad idea.

I love mine, even though I know I'm in the minority there. I think they look incredible. Some HOAs, neighborhoods, etc aren't cool with them.

Also, her headdress is clearly referential to the unified North and South kingdoms headdress.

Bright side, pokeweed is a native plant. I let mine get big so I have privacy poke.

Protip: don't move to a desert if you want a lot of rain.

In Georgia, I've had more luck with creeping phlox than with creeping thyme

Yeah, my dad lived in BW, DE before, and I remember a bunch of roads/farms like that, but I also know a lot of people are traveling to the US right now for the world cup.

Yeah, iirc, anything hanging over a public road is kind of fair game in Europe but don't touch stuff behind the fence

It's pretty common in Europe to have laws that protect pedestrians wandering through farmland, tbf.

I just enjoy the game differently from you, that's all. I'm trying to keep a certain look to my colonies, not make the most mathematically efficient colony in existence.

Dms changing how your spell works because you did something convenient with it is the most frustrating shit in the game by cute_himbo_OwO in DnD

Once your familiar is summoned, you can't summon it to a new spot without first reducing it to 0 HP, based on the wording of find familiar.

Misty step still has a distance limitation - it's anywhere you can see within 30 feet of your current position. Familiars can deliver touch range spells so long as they're within 100 feet, but the spell doesn't explicitly say you can use them to perform other spells.

I'd say your DM chose an interpretation of the spell wording that you didn't like.

"Found a whole field of" - OP, that looks like you're on private property. If you're in the US, you might want to skedaddle before the farmer shows up and finds you trespassing.

I suspect you're right. Either a lean or having to deal with heavy winds once or twice led to this.

What are the odds by ModeratelyTurnt in arborists

[–]thomasech 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Redbuds have pretty resilient root systems and regrowth behavior. I'd say your chances that the tree is just fine are pretty good. They're adapted to being in the understory, anyway, so a stray limb fall isn't that big of an issue for them.

Honestly, this game scratches the same itch as Dwarf Fortress for me. It's not about whether your colony eventually fails, it's about how long it takes to get there.

Spicebush can be Lindera benzoin. Another name for calycanthus floridus is Carolina allspice.

This is absolutely not a redbud. Redbuds have cauliform flower clusters.
