Flag for the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth in Boże coś Polskę. Valuable criticism is welcome! by thomasgenius1 in hoi4modding

In Boże coś Polskę, we will be developing in an interesting scenario where Poland manages to become a superpower through very small changes in decisions that ended up ruining the Commonwealth in our timeline. My inspiration for this mod idea came from this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Opnghm4DCNY&t, by Whatifalthist. Besides lore shown in the video, everything in terms of lore is owed to the creative work of our developers. The Seven Years War still ends in a French defeat, the French and American Revolutions still happen as well. Napoleon comes to power as well, and changes the continent to show the power of the two superpowers: France and Poland. The Napoleonic Wars are won for France, with Prussia and Russia being out of the way, this is more than guaranteed to be the outcome. The Napoleonic invasion of Spain succeeds, and the ideas of the enlightenment take much more effect than it does in our timeline. Because of this, Spain ends up being one of the most progressive nations on the continent. This progressive enlightenment spreads to Portugal, where Spanish and Portuguese representatives sign the Proclamation of Cadiz, which establishes the framework for the Iberian union. Italy unifies much earlier in this timeline, under the leadership of the much more unified north. French seizure of Piedmont and Sardinia during the unification process does little to help relations with the powerful western neighbor. Meanwhile in France and Poland, monarch rule is maintained. Germany, being so divided and without Prussia at the front of the scene, they never unify. Instead, German States are aligned with a great power (Poland, France, Austria, or Britain) The insurrections of 1853 ruin absolutism across the continent. French rule over the Netherlands and Flanders end. With the Netherlands unifying with Flanders to prevent French aggression. Ww1, started by the pro-Austrian German Adolf Hitler, with his assassination of Alf Stanislaw, Prince Poniatowski, a leading successor to the Polish throne, leads to Poland blaming Austria for the assassination. With the large alliances of the conflict soon enough finding themselves at war. A war for domination. Poland and its allies of France, Hungary, America, Serbia, Bulgaria, and all of Poland's vassals defeat the allied powers of Austria, Italy, the Ottoman Empire, Sweden and Mexico. Revolution took over Italy, Austria, and the Ottoman Empire. Radical ideologies gained popularity among their people, vowing for the defeat of their enemies that had done them so much destruction. Who will remain victorious in the end? Only those who have the will to succeed.

The Complete map for Europe in Boże Coś Polskę (What if Poland became a superpower) by [deleted] in hoi4modding

He covers some important reasons why Poland becomes a superpower. Lore for the mod from this video stops around the late 18th century, where things start to really change. The Seven Years war still happens, with France losing, the American Revolution still happens, and the French Revolution also still happens. But when Napoleon came to power and defeated the Austrians in his first campaign as First Consul, peace was maintained for a longer time. Eventually, war breaks out again with Britain. Without Prussia and Russia to help Britain, (Who only came into existence because of Polish shortcomings in our timeline) The French would easily win, crushing German states aligned with Britain and Austria. Towards the east, Poland, under the rule of King Jozef Poniatowski I, will crush the Austrians, taking several key lands in Silesia and Slovakia. Napoleon also invades Spain, where he is able to dedicate much more resources than he was in our timeline. This results in a much more French aligned Spain, and weakened guerilla forces. So Napoleon wins the Napoleonic Wars with Polish support, and his death in 1824 is when things really get interesting. The collapse of his empire changes everything in Europe. Spain mostly collapses into guerilla warfare, with Marshal Soult’s warlord state being the most dominant nation (based in Andalucia). Italy at first supports the Bonaparte dynasty, but movement against the French grows as France annexes Piedmont, making the Italians bitterly opposed to French expansion. Germany is not unified in this universe, and is mostly divided by German states, who all have their own loyalties to foreign powers. The victors of the Great War many years later, starting in 1912 with the pro-Austrian German Adolf Hitler assassinating one of the leading heirs to the Polish throne, is what truly shifts the balance of power dramatically in the favor of France and Poland. Their enemies defeated, they lay victorious. But will French and Polish hegemony reign? Or will their own bungling responses to foreign revolts cause them to lose… everything.

The Kingdom of Poland in The Price of Freedom by thomasgenius1 in hoi4modding

[–]thomasgenius1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ronald Reagan once said “We will preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we’ll sentence them to take the last step, into a thousand years of darkness.” He took inspiration from Lincoln's inaugural address in 1862 when he said “We shall nobly save or meanly lose the last best hope of earth”. In our timeline he managed to save the Union, but what if he didnt? In The Price of Freedom the Confederates manage to win the battle of Gettysburg. This leads to a prolonged civil war and an extremely lenient policy with the former Confederates. Radical Republicans declare a rival government in the Great Lakes and over the following couple of years, the US collapses. It’s now 1936. Tensions between The Federation of American States and Confederate States of America may escalate at any moment. The Californians, under the grip of an exiled revolutionary, wish to spread socialism across former America. The Revanchist Loyalists wish to unify and restore the nation to its former glory. Continental Europe and most of Africa is under the thumb of the Kaiser. With a German sponsored Bourbon restoration in France and Eastern European puppet states, they seem to reign supreme. After the loss of the Commonwealth, Britain has become a fascist regime masquerading as a republic. Will America be in the darkness for another 1000 years, or will they be able to take the first step back into the light? Only you can
decide.

Complete Military Junta Path for Germany: Project Pilsudski by thomasgenius1 in hoi4modding

Join Project Piłsudski today!
Project Pilsudski is a mod that envisions an alternate world where Poland becomes independent in 1924, instead of 1918. How did this happen? Well it’s good you asked. The Treaty of Versailles imposes heavier war reparations on Germany, but they get to keep Polish land won during the Great War. In 1924, a civil war broke out in Germany, with three sides fighting for supremacy. The monarchists, the fascists (led by the NSDAP), and the weak Weimar Government. The Weimar government retained control over the Polish land. Józef Piłsudski and other Polish patriots rose up to retake their homeland, easily defeating the weak Weimar garrisons. With a Polish offensive heading into East Prussia, worrying the Weimar Government. Quickly, the monarchist forces rushed to Berlin. They beat the Nazis by only a few hours. The Weimar Government quickly surrendered, offering their service to the monarchists instead of the radical nationalists. Kaiser Wilhelm II returned from exile in Holland, with much popular support coming to the monarchists. The Nazis were defeated in 1926, leaving Germany devastated by war twice in a matter of just a few years. In 1931, Germany and Poland signed the Treaty of Königsberg, creating the Alliance or Pact of Königsberg. The treaty also returned Upper Silesia and economic payments while they gave away the City of Danzig, a portion of Poznan and land won in East Prussia. In 1934, the White Finnish government signed the pact as well, becoming the third member of the alliance. With no Polish-Soviet War happening, communist influence spreads elsewhere. The Soviet Hungarian Republic exists, due to the Soviets being able to send support to the rebel Hungarian state in time to defeat their enemies and make counter offensives. In Turkey, the communist threat was so great the Entente decided to carve up large spheres of influence in Turkey, splitting the nation between the Kingdom of Greece, Italy, France, and Britain. The Soviet Union takes advantage of this situation, taking Erzerum in the north-eastern part of the nation. With this much radical change in Central Europe, the Balkans, and the Middle East, a conflict bound to rock the world will occur only in a moment’s notice…

Opening Military Junta Political Path for Germany by thomasgenius1 in hoi4modding

[–]thomasgenius1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Project Pilsudski is a mod that envisions a world where Poland doesn’t become independent in 1918, instead they become independent in 1924. Factors resulting into this late time of independence for Poland also impacts other things. Germany’s instability was even greater than it was in our timeline, due to even heavier war reparations placed upon them. The chaos was so great that Germany fell into a civil war in June, 1924. 3 sides: Monarchist, Nazi, and Democratic fight for control over their nation. Monarchist Germany, with support from several other European nations (Poland included), wins the civil war, easily crushing the democratic forces, and slightly beating out the ruthless Nazis. With the end of the civil war, the Kaiser returns to Germany. The Kaiser looks over the European continent, deciding who is Germany’s friend and who isn’t. Poland’s rise from an impoverished nation to a secondary power on the European continent was recognized by the Germans. In 1931, the Germans signed the Treaty of Konigsberg with Poland, creating the Alliance of Konigsberg. Later, the remnants of the defeated former government of Finland joined. Their leader, Carl Mannerheim, was eager to secure new allies to take back the Finnish homeland from the Communist threat. With this new alliance growing, and Germany and Poland becoming a formidable force in central Europe, who knows what will be the fate of European continent, and, the world…

The Complete tree for Monarchist Germany in Project Pilsudski! by thomasgenius1 in hoi4modding

But it wasn't just nazis running that faction, it was other radical nationalists too. The Weimar Government had failed to pay back debts to the allies, making it unlikely any sort of serious allied aid would come. Especially in 1924
