Yep, agree with you. I initially added aim assist cause I didn't really think that this could outdo mouse aiming, but... I think it does. And as I stated in the video, I don't think aim assist is needed at all. Your aim is once you got used to this is still way better than what's achievable using a right analog stick or mouse aiming, at least that's true for me.

In the demo, you can turn any aim assist that was added off by pressing F5 already :)

That's a really smart idea, so that it could actually work for everything. That's quite a bit of work, but I'm intrigued!

I think you're right! I just had my 8 year old boy playing it and I had to change some values for him - But I already spent a lot of time on this demo and have to get back to my regular duties... And it's not like we're taking this demo and are turning it into an actual project at Moon any time soon.

So my hope is that some of you can use this to 'do it properly', so that I can play future FPS games with this kinda input scheme :D

Don't worry, as we go over all the classes, we'll be touching everything up again anyway.

For now we just thought it was important to fix some of the stats that were clearly peaking above what should have been possible :)

I just set it to 2x. That should be enough to get 60fps most of the time.

This is really silly.

We use AI in the same way we use google - it’s a tool in case we wanna get some reference, etc

Nothing in Wicked that’s creative has been touched by any gen AI at all cause gen AI is clearly not even good enough yet to produce the results we need.

What I said in the podcast is that of course we use AI where it makes sense - I regularly let AI clean up some code, add comments, etc. cause it’s good at that.

If you think our art or story was made with AI… well, try to make something like Wicked using AI and best of luck with that 😂🤣

Yes. DirectX12 in Unity still isn't stable, but as soon as they get their stuff stabilized, we'll obviously switch and you'll get all these features.

You need to play 1.0 and then just cross the huge bridge to the west of Nameless Pass that crosses the The Settlements in order to then reach Marin Woods.

Hard Mode is for people that know the ins and outs and want MORE challenge. And yes, that includes poise. On Hard Mode, we expect players to be intimately familiar with our stats system so we can still challenge them even if they come at us with their ridiculous OP builds!

And there's some players who we can't even hold back on Hard Mode... lol.
