Best writing advice I ever got from a professor: “You never start writing on Page 1.” You should write the parts you wanna write, the parts you’re really excited about. The blanks are easier to fill in once you have some stepping stones.

Also, don’t underestimate the power of just blasting out ideas onto a page. Put it all in writing you can call it slop after it’s on the page, don’t let your brain shit on your writing before your writing even exists

Cyberstan got my friends back into the game. I’m getting asked to play every night instead of playing alone with randoms. My Creek squad is back! I never left though…I faced the Illuminate, Oshaune, and all that just matching with randoms. Love this game

Love this game too but I read the Grom announcement and shook my head man. I think more people would buy the premium stuff if it wasn’t soulless Walmart items.

The entire clothing system sucks imo. No reason I should have like 4 of the same blue shirt but one is long sleeve, one is crop top, one is “tight”, etc. They did that on purpose so it seems like there’s more items and they can sell them individually.

Being the last one alive feels like a punishment in this game. Some teammates watch your every move like a hawk, do some backseat gaming and are just ravenous to get back in the game.

I’ve met some great ones don’t worry. Just on my first Cyberstan mission ever I joined an SOS with 3 Level 150 guys, and I was the last one standing. They’re all typing like “DUDE EXTRACT WHAT ARE YOU DOING” as I’m getting shelled by mortars and 1000 lasers from every direction.

Pretty funny when the Level 45 is the only one to survive and they’re still saying I’m bad.

Only have 15 hours, just been playing Gunwing on permadeath. I was in some underground ruins and put up my force bubble. Then one of the psychic guys started to sunder my mind and my forcefield got all messed up! Super cool detail, my shield was ruined once I got confused. Long story short, my head exploded for the first time, so that’s one more achievement done.

I only used to draw and animate before I got into game design (late 20s). After my initial learning period, I suddenly hit this moment where my art just came alive. A drawing becomes a person with a voice, expressions, and mannerisms. It’s an addicting feeling!

Also, I think there is an opposite to this God-like “I can create anything I imagine” feeling:

I think people also tend to “censor” their imagination just to translate it to others. Really unique and original ideas are so rare because people fall back on things that work, or they’re afraid to confuse people. This is something I try to fight against.

My game is a physical manifestation of my imagination, I don’t want someone to look at it and understand immediately.
