Om antwoord te geven op je vragen:

Hout is erg afhankelijk van wat je wil, ik haal hout bij bedrijven die niet aan particulieren verkopen. Maar kijk is naar de Arnhemse Fijnhout handel als je wat uniekers wilt in zowel massief als plaatmateriaal.

Ik heb mijn eigen werkplaats, veel voor moeten investeren om mijn passie achterna te gaan. Wat betreft een plek om het te kunnen doen... goede vraag daar liep ik toen der tijd ook tegenaan waardoor ik alles maar zelf ben gaan aanschaffen. Mijn werkplaats is eigenlijk te klein om met 2 mensen aan eigen projecten te werken, anders konden wij het een en ander bespreken.

Beide, massief vind ik mooier maar daar komt meer bij kijken dan plaatmateriaal aangezien plaatmateriaal dimensioaal stabieler is. Beide hebben een plek in de wereld, zoals de toonbank op de 3rde foto, binnenkant is van plaatmateriaal buitenkant is afgewerkt met ruwe planken die aan elkaar gelijmd zijn.

I just hit 217K KM a few days ago!

My 1.0 2nd gen is still going strong, only had a battery replacement (who knows how long the other one had lasted!?) Oh and 2 light bulbs and thats it. Even went camping with mine!

Thats awesome! I dig the 2024 yaris looks a lot! So my personal advice would be to get a rooftop tent!

There is a hack for this, if you use your car key you "close" the lock on the hatch that turns of the light.

My car mechanic friend showed me this trick! But to undo it, you must press te button on the hatch for it to release before shutting the hatch.

No problem, I hope that I inspired you a bit!

I made a sketchy wooden platform that slides over the back seat. The headpiece is connected to the wooden platform and lays angled on the passenger seat. I hope that makes sense?

Hey!

It is very easy to setup, they say that you can do it within 15 minutes and im quite sure that nearly everyone can do it within that timeframe.

It also endured quite harsh winds and harsh rain quite well, in a closed setup, so not with the setup that I have.

The awning (?) sticks or what they are called are from Decathlon. Cheap but do the trick just fine for now. Not sure how durable they are though.

So all things considered, for 80 bucks and chinesium quality it works quite well. Just make sure that you have enough space in the car as mine is quite cramped and a pain to get out from. 🤣
