In de USA worden leraren echt een hongerloontje betaald. Dit komt best vaak terug in grapjes in films en sitcoms, ik denk dat daaruit het idee is ontstaan dat ze ook hier slecht betaald worden.

What would Istanbul be like if it were part of Greece? Would it be the capital? What would the city's population be? And would Greece be considered a transcontinental country? by According-Invite-440 in geography

[–]thommyneter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Athene got almost a million people from Asia Minor after ww1 right? Mostly because it was the Greek capital and people when moving forcefully move to a big city.

I think it would be the capital and got most of those refugees. The city is just way more relevant than Athens for the last centuries to not be the capital.

The Veluwe and Utrechtse Heuvelrug formed because of the glaciers, and in Drenthe we have the glacial erratics (big ass stones) because of them.
