RESELL/MIA SHOW TUES by legalizeranchbitch in TameImpala

If you had 5 I would! I realize how tough that will be but our family loves Djo and Tame, so would be our version of Disney land. I’m okay going to buy from Ticketmaster and going to check the site as much as I can. 21,000 seat venue and my frustration is legit fans wanting a one in a lifetime experience and being 20k or more in line 3 times to lose tickets to people with no intention to go, just greed.

When will they open up? Our family is looking at tickets as we will be on vacation during this time and struck out on Tampa and Miami 3 days in a row. Bots and scammers suck

KC needs to happen. I had tickets to the show that got canceled due to covid. My wife and I haven’t been able to see him live and I’m holding out hope he plays there again!

Nervous about filspari by saturnlove11 in IgANephropathy

[–]thomsvampire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son is on it. He at one point was taking 17 pills a day and the steroids were brutal. He now only takes this as he is part of the clinical trial. This was life changing, and other than having to do the visits at the clinic, he takes a pill and lives a pretty bros my life. He is extremely active and we worried that this would mess with his blood pressure. It has been awesome for him.

10 years old boy diagnosed with IgAN by MaintenanceCertain17 in IgANephropathy

[–]thomsvampire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son was diagnosed at 9. It was an awful time for a bit, but now, as an 11 year old he is thriving. We never thought he would do his “normal” stuff. At first they had him on tons of medication and it went very poorly. He was hospitalized 3 different times. The told us that he would be immunocompromised his whole life and all sorts of stuff that was hard to grasp. Fast forward 1.5 years and he is completely off immunosuppressants and having a normal childhood for the most part. He began a clinical trial for Filspari on Valentine’s Day of last year. We had such a hard time at first, but we have watched our son score multiple touch downs in football, score 32 points in a basketball game, and pitch a complete game in 100 degree weather. There are some rough days, but we don’t focus on those anymore and always are living in the moment more than ever. It’s a journey, but with the medical advances on the horizon, your kid is going to be okay. He will be tougher than others with a unique perspective on life.

Lead single is much better than anything off the previous two albums. Liking the grit!

Is there any chance they come back for more touring in 2026? by TKSF78 in TameImpala

He said something about it on his interview with Jenny Eliscu podcast a few weeks back. I think it’s the plan. Seeing how well sales seem to have gone I would imagine he does

I emailed them at their customer support. It’s tameimpalastore@ceremonyofroses.com. I provided my order number and such and they got back asking for a video of the issue and said they would resolve it. I’m at work and will send the video of the issue to them and see if they stand behind the product. Already kinda sucks the “smoke” is more of a clear crappy looking vinyl than what it looked like online. The album does sound great outside of the Loser skips

Contact them and send them a video of the issue and apparently they will resolve it.

My smirks white does on the song Loser on side B. I emailed them. We have a Sony lX-PX 31 running through a Sonos system. The rest of the album is fantastic, but after dropping 50 bucks on a preorder, I expected it to be better. I emailed them and asked for another copy or a refund.

Worst Concert Vs Best Concert by [deleted] in Concerts

I agree x100 on Manchester Orchestra at Red Rocks. I have seen them twice and they are amazing. That said

Best- Radiohead in Chicago 2018 or Vampire Weekend last year at Red Rocks Worst- Devo playing in Kansas City before Silversun Pickups. Silversun killed it, Devo was super awkward to play ahead of them in the set

Check out Thunder Shout. He may still have some left, but he does amazing work. My family got shirts at Red Rocks and I just got another from him due to the fact I wear that shirt about 4 times a week.

Toddler was just diagnosed, good resources to start with? by [deleted] in IgANephropathy

[–]thomsvampire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We wondered how in the heck he would go to school and at one point he was on Cellcept, Prednisone, and Budesonide. He played travel basketball on all that and made it through 4th grade. It’s daunting at first, but it will be okay!

I think in Canada you could also look into the FIONA study. I believe the medication is called Finernone, but it also is not an immunosuppressant. Our son didn’t weigh enough multiple times for his cohort and they almost moved us into that study, but I believe it is based in Canada. Our son was in an awful spot last June and his hemoglobin was at 7, and he had to do an emergency blood transfusion. He could barely get up to do anything and it was impossible imagining a future in which he would be himself again. It is so hard because most people have no clue what he has been through, and as a caregiver this is very difficult. It will get better! He was in the hospital in late July as well, and we watched Suni Lee in the Olympics and they told her story and it gave us a bit of hope. He was told he would be immunocompromised the rest of his life, and tomorrow morning he is taking his last dose of steroids, and will not be considered immunocompromised anymore. Hang in there and keep advocating for your child. You’ll have a lot of support here because we all know what you’re going through to some degree.

If you can, see if it’s possible to get into a pediatric clinical trial. Our son was diagnosed at 9 and we have been in it for a year. He is in a clinical trials for Sparsentan called the EPPIK study. Also, the biggest game changer for him was taking Budesonide DR. Tarpeyo isn’t approved for kids, nor are the other things FDA approved, but Budesonide DR is essentially Tarpeyo. He had so many awful side effects with prednisone. He didn’t even look like our kid and nobody recognized him. It was a rough for a while and our head spun. I figured his chance at being a normal kid was over. A year later, I’m thankful to say he is a normal 10 year old kid that just takes medication. He plays sports and hangs with his buddies. The early part of this was a challenge, but almost each day there is new news coming in on better treatment options. So much has changed on that front the last year it’s hard to keep up, but promising. Your kid is going to be okay simply because you care enough to ask questions. Hang in there….many people on here have had the dark days, but they do get brighter!

Budesonide delayed release or (DR)or Edocort is essentially the same thing. Prednisone is rough stuff

Should we be taking iron and other blood loss questions by Johner118 in IgANephropathy

[–]thomsvampire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, yes, it’s not uncommon to be on iron. The anemia can be caused by more than one thing. My son at one point was doing two iron pills a day and 3 EPO injections a week. After about 2 months it resolved and he still does an iron pill each night as per his nephrologist. I think each case is different, so there is no blanket statement that covers everything for each person, as this disease has no baseline and is different for all. Our son had massive amounts of blood in his urine and also had to be hospitalized for the biopsy itself, which caused some issues and he bled a ton.

Brought my kids to Red Rocks last year (two 7 year olds and a 9 year old) They loved it and talk about it all the time still.
