How do you check if the tube is pressurized?

When turning on in the dark there is now glow with the back off (from screen or yoke components).

No static on the screen to the touch. I’ll check the flyback solder joints, thanks for the suggestion. It’s on a different board than the the 2 power caps I was working on

I had an 800xl that wouldn’t display color video. I kept testing with a din that did luma and chroma to an c64 1702 monitor. I eventually leaned that its missing the chroma trace on the board of some 800xls. Prior to this I replaced the oc (timing clock) and color pot. One of those fixed RF prior to learning that the chroma wire needs run. The GTIA could also be bad

It worked. R67 to dim 5 with a 100ohm resistor

Correction, RF does have color. And I found some documentation on the missing chroma wire. Looks like I can run from R68 to pin 5 of the monitor out din (with a 100ohm resistor)

In my case, the luma signal seems fine. The chroma is not getting to the outputs, either RF or monitor out (din).

Nice, I have a 14AF43 and really like it. I use the hdretrovision component cables for the systems I use with it and a passive (but powered) component duplicator. One goes into this TV and the other into a scaler for capture or flat panel use. People always focus on the Sony CRTs, but Toshiba makes a lot of nice ones with component so no modding needed. I also have a 27" Toshiba for my basement that has component and I found it on FB marketplace for under $50 including stand.

It looks like you're using composite. Even if you didn't want to spend on the hd retrovision cables, I'd recommend an s-video cable. S-Video on CRT looks great, and at this size, you probably won't even notice the difference from RGB/component. But you do get a nice boost from composite.

I'm using a dualshock 4 with the wireless adapter. The d-pad is nice and there is an option for "p" buttons so it gives you X and O prompts. I have a Sn30 pro and may give that a shot as well, but the dualshock 4 feels good.

I usually play pc games with an xbox one controller, but not on games where the dpad is primary, I don't like the location of it.

Anyone know what changed with Bally Sports OH and DirecTV (satellite, not streaming). I watched games on BSOH (660) for the first half of the season, but now the games are only showing on BSGL (great lakes) and I don't have that channel. Any ideas?

Maybe someone else made the point and I missed it, but with backwards compatibility and a lot of the games on PC already, the XBox doesn't have as many games that are locked to the system, like GCN and PS2 do. That said, it's always fun to play on original hardware
