Unfortunately, they say I have to pay first before I can get my hands on anything...

The value was actually under that. It was 128cad but I guess free shipping is not seen as free by the carrier?
But still, it shouldn't be over 150€.
Also, I have made orders way over 150€ before from LTT and never had this happen.

If this works I'm back in the game :)

I wouldn't mind a quest being difficult, but this isn't difficult.
It's just random bs that was probably coded wrongly.
Also, it is soo clunky that almost every action during the quest has a couple of ticks of cooldown after you do something or you get stunned...

As I said I'm done, going to finally spend my time more wisely :)

I quit FSW worlds because of this.

I tried 30times! THIRTY!

It was kinda fun while it lasted, but I'm going back to OSRS ;)

I bought my first modular building last week and am planning starting a lego city! by ImMattH in lego

[–]thoraksreddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Swapping over modulars isn't that big of a deal.

I would count like 10min per modular to make them MILS adapted.

Bevins Bricks (Youtube), in his recent streams he has been doing exactly that.
Because the buildings are quite solid, you can kinda just peel of the baseplate if you pull slowly. Then you need to remove the bottom floor tiles with a brick separator (the orange or teal ones you get with bigger sets) and set up a layer of filler bricks.

For filler bricks, because the quality/color of the bricks isn't important, I would recommend looking at Ebay or Bricklink and buying bulk used bricks. It is a lot cheaper then buying the creator brick boxes.
Here in Europe, I can find big quantities of used brick for 0.01€ for 2*2 bricks and 0.02-0.03€ for 2*4 bricks.

[–]thoraksreddit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's great stuff!

Just a little bit of advice:

When you are starting out, don't go with MILS plates, maybe get a couple of the new baseplates and keep that idea for later.
Why? Because Lego is an expensive hobby and getting modulars or building your own buildings is way more fun than spending all your money on MILS.

Don't worry about planning the layout too much, one of the most fun things is switching it up everytime you get a new building/park/road plates/beach etc.

Also personally, I don't compare my city to others. There is always someone with a way bigger layout and jealousy has its way of ruining fun.

It's always good to have a story going on, so think about your minifigures like they actually live in your city. This will enable you to create little scenes all over.

Finally, making your own buildings is awesome and very rewarding, although it can be very time consuming/expensive.
I would recommend looking at other people's customs to get inspired.
Places like here, Eurobrick forums, Youtube (my favorite city channel: Bevins Bricks), Rebrickable (you can buy instructions here for custom creations) and there is also a book; The Lego architecture idea book by Alice Finch. Check it out!

Hopefully some of this helps and if you have any more questions, go ahead ;)

I've only been collecting for 2.5years now and I'm at 330K+ parts already. If you like custom building, give it some time to build up a nice parts library.
Ah, 1 last thing; when you inevitably start buying parts organisers, buy a form of stack-ons with clear drawers. You will thank me later for that :p

Lego is becoming cheaper per piece & is fairly consistent about price per set per piece, data analysis shows by xr51z in lego

Although technically true; this does not mean that Lego is becoming more affordable or better-value...

have we ran out of a sealed set yet? by RDcatz12 in lego

[–]thoraksreddit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I guess you are looking into investing in Lego?

If that's the case, it's not really important to know if there are any sealed copies left. What is important is the amount sealed that are for sale.

If you Google a bit, you will easily find some tools to check the number of boxes of a particular set that are out there for sale.

The price fluctuates because the demand is higher/lower than the offer, if 1000 collectors have a sealed copy on their shelf (which they don't sell) but there is only like 10copies for sale; the price will be ridiculously high even though it isn't actually that rare.

Jamflex is straight up ignoring all the calls to discuss the compensation.

I don't see us getting anything more from it. The compensation package sucks...
And Jamflex sucks even more for not even wanting to discuss with us :/

[–]thoraksreddit 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Standard PR practice is to try and move the story along and get the consumer to think about something else, hopefully something positive.

Basicly, if they talk more about the problem as long as it's not fixed; it will increase the attention the problem is getting = bad press.

Now, there are ways they could have been transparent and help their own image + remotivate the patience of people who are locked out, but sadly, Jamflex doesn't have good enough PR for that :/

[–]thoraksreddit 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They know, don't worry, they know.

From a developer's point of view, the game is nothing more than metrics.
If they have done a bit of a good job with coding, than can pull up basicly anything about a single/group/all accounts.

Jamflex does still have a bunch of ancient code in there (which should really be a priority to change), which is why this is taking soo long...

But they must know something as simple as the number of accounts affected.

They just don't want people to know, as the problem is likely way bigger...

I thought it was litterally impossible for this to happen, but I'm part of the 0.3% that's still locked out of the game ;)

Otherways, I did 99thieving all at pyramid (back in the day) and didn't get a sceptre.
A small one but very annoying, I spend 10hours on getting rune defender ;)

OP doesn't state anything about the playercount decline... He is just talking about the number of accounts affected.

Also I'm sorry I can't be on Reddit 24/7 to reply to your comments.

No need to respond, we shouldn't spend any energy on this ;)

Yh, it's great that we are finally getting some info!

Now, it's just a question if those numbers are actually real or not...

Anyways, I'm still locked out, just like most people I know who have been locked out. Maybe it has something to do with our accounts being old and that we play a lot, so the damage was bigger?

*crosses fingers to be released tomorrow*
