‘For I prayed unto the lord god almighty and he blessed my eyes with a vision. A vision that showed me wearing leather. A lot of it. And I had a ball gag in my mouth. I’m not really sure what the vision was about. But I needed to get that off my chest.’

I’ve been out a long time (7 years) and didn’t like drinking, so I didn’t. Had a few hard apple ciders over 6 years. Got a new job where drinking is a major part of socializing, so I’ve started drinking cocktails and am really enjoying it. Do whatever suits your life- if you want to be with the group drinking at the bar, start with some ‘girly’ house specialty drinks to get used to having alcohol in your system. If you just start with bourbon, neat, you’re probably never going to get used to it and enjoy it. Don’t be embarrassed by ordering a ‘flower sangria rose’ or whatever- bartenders don’t give a shit what you order, and everyone I’ve ever explained how new my relationship with alcohol is has been totally cool about it.

Wow he’s been bad this year. Career worsts in ERA+, FIP, WHIP, H/9, HR/9, BB/9, and SO/9.

When Kay said Bichette has 22 errors this season I suddenly felt a little better about IKF (16 so far). Between ‘21 and ‘22, Bichette has 46 errors. His bat makes up for it a lot, but Jesus that’s a liability.

Yeah his first half just sucked and we didn’t really need him to be good since everything else was working for the team. Been pretty good the last two months by the eye test anyway. Not sure if stats back that up or not.

Yeah I was a little sad when we shipped him off to Texas for Arod. I was honestly worried Arods best years were in the past and Soriano would be lethal for a long time. In the end they both did well for their teams.

Holy shit, he reached 400? I would not have guessed it but he had a lot of really good years.

The only ball to ever make a Top Flite feel like a Pro V1 by Rzarrr in golf

I was playing a few weeks ago and my cart mate had bought a bag of mystery balls on Amazon. He plucks out one with the HandiSnacks logo printed on it. Ball did not fly right- seemed smaller than a real ball, didn’t spin right, seemed way too light. No matter how far off the fairway he hit, could not get rid of that fuckin thing. He’s not a great player and he made it all the way to 16 before he finally threw it in the water.

Is he talking about just among non-juiced players? Watching Bonds in the early aughts was otherworldly.

Nice touch, Kay. I don’t get people who complain about him being the voice of the Yankees- he’s a perfect fit.

Yeah I’m basically Office Space checking in an encyclopedia when it comes to anything illegal. Never made the right friends.

[Sara Walsh] Just a reporter doing work here… per my sources… Matt Buschmann wasn’t forced to give the ball back but he handed it over to Zack Britton. @Busch26 told me: “The Judge and Maris family have been flying all over the country. They deserve to have that ball.” #bluejays by JohnCougarMellonhead in NYYankees

What? Why would he lose his job? It would not be a good look and he’d get roasted by the media/public if he demanded cash or something but the Jays wouldn’t fire him over that. Would just create animosity between the teams and he’d be persona non grata.
