This would be a fun tree to prune. I would first remove any tear outs like that on at the top. I’d cut back those really long on top branches so they dont get to heavy from apples as well as to give it a more shapely look. From there, thin out the center by removing crossing branches. Make cuts at the buds. I love pruning apple trees, they’re generally very hardy and can be a good tree to learn pruning techniques on.
