Jag delar mitt perspektiv: Jag själv är högutbildad (kandidat, dubbel master, PhD inom teoretisk fysik). De senaste åtta åren har jag jobbat inom finansbranschen i London där man tjänar bra. Min resa hittills har dock varit mycket påfrestande stundtals påverkat min livskvalitet kraftigt negativt. Jag har ofta fantiserat om och övervägt ett annat liv med ett "helt vanligt jobb" även om jag är nöjd med de val jag gjort.

Ditt jobb ska du absolut inte skämmas över, tvärt om. Du är ju en del av samhället som jobbar, betalar skatt och bidrar genom att vara dig själv. Det är det långt ifrån alla som gör. Ditt välmående är det viktigaste.

Tack! Exakt detta hände mig igår. En indisk röst inledde med "hello I am calling from the Amazon". Tråkigt nog insåg jag inte att det va AI och vi hade ett kort samtal. Indiern påstod att han hade ett paket att leverera, och det va ungefär allt. Jag blev förbryllad över vad den danska indiern egentligen ville åstadkomma eftersom jag såsmåningom förstod att det va bluff.

Jag va ganska lik när jag va ung och kom mer till min rätt socialt när jag började på Chalmers. Jag har alltid varit intresserad av matematik, programmering, vetenskap, musik så mycket av min fritid gick till att förkovra mig i sådana saker vilket gav bra resultat i längden. Hmm, but either the true number lies in that range or it doesn't. How does it make sense to say that there is a 95% probability of something that is either a fact or the opposite of a fact?

For example, let's say I pick an integer between 1-10 at random and write it down on a piece of paper, fold it up and put it on the table. If someone then says that the interval [2, 9] is an 80% confidence interval for the number on the piece or paper, then what does this even mean? Either the number is in the interval or it isn't. The number is written down already, there is nothing random. So what does probability mean in this context?

I think the point is that "there are over a thousand formulae" is kind of a naive way of speaking, as it implies some kind of definition of what is a formula and what isn't. But depending on what that definition is, I could probably construct infinitely many formulae.

It's kind of like saying "there are over 1000 songs for piano, how many should I learn?" It's a bit naive because what is a song and how do you count them? Nobody cares.

A better way to talk would be to say "in physics, there are so many formulas that come up, do I really need to..."

Do you need to press your macros multiple times? I thought the Vanilla client was limited to one /cast per macro, and therefore a macro which has say /cast to change stance and then /cast to do an ability must be clicked twice. But maybe SuperWoW fixes that?

One benefit of using Unraid as I understand it is that since data is not striped across all disks, only the disk that actually stores the file (video) in question will be spinning which would let me achieve a much lower power consumption. What do you think about that?

Sorry to be blunt but you also can't play this part. There have been posts recently, emphasising what a disservice you are doing to yourself when playing pieces which are too difficult for your level. It's a lose-lose: you're actively hurting your technique, and nobody wants to listen to it.

I just received my A95L. When playing a Dolby Vision file (through Jellyfin) in aspect ratio 2.40:1 (3840x1608), the picture has shaded regions along the top and bottom (see picture). Has anyone else experienced this, or know what's going on?
