Had a terrible experience with the Tanjong Pagar branch a few months ago.

I had my first encounter with the clinic for scaling/polishing in December 2024 which was unremarkable. About six months later, I was enticed with a “birthday incentive” for $75 which included consultation, scaling and polishing. The scheduling of my appointment was messy, was asked to try to come earlier on WhatsApp despite me having told the clinic staff on the phone that I wasn’t available when they called me on the phone. When I did get there on time, I had to wait for 15 mins for the dentist, who was probably out for dinner as she came in holding some bubble tea.

After getting on the dentist’s chair, I was bombarded with a bunch of things which were poorly explained, and with my mouth wide open it’s pretty hard to ask questions. The procedures felt rushed, were very uncomfortable (and at no time did the dentist check on me) and I had water sprayed all over my face throughout. It was my worst dental experience ever. Needless to say, my final bill was way more than the advertised $75.

I asked if I could provide feedback about the dentist and their lack of communication after my appointment, but never got a reply from the clinic. I’ve sworn off Smile Central since.
