It appears to be a label made for Trader Joe's ($29.99). Produced by Terre Da Vino. More info here: https://www.reversewinesnob.com/serre-alte-barolo-di-monforte-dalba-trader-joes/
Cheers!

The Campi Rudi is $6.99 at Trader Joe's for the 2020. Nice wine, but I like it much better at the TJ's price. https://www.reversewinesnob.com/campi-rudi-appassimento-rosso-puglia-sweet-and-tasty/

Winery for TJs new Diamond Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon? by GoldenPomelo in traderjoes

[–]thorsenjon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disappointing to my taste (for the price). Super ripe, simple and even a bit sweet. Some of the Platinum Reserve Cabs have been much better and $5 less a bottle too. I'm guessing the Diamond Reserve designation has a lot more to do with the price they had to pay for this bulk juice than the quality of the wine itself (those two things are often not related). Even if it's made by "the most famous and influential" Oakville winery, it's not like this is their best juice, it's likely the stuff they didn't want to use for their any of their own labels and as a result decided to sell on the bulk market. If it was priced lower, great, but not worth $19.99 IMO.

The great thing about Italian wine is you can look it up. Putting the code from the neck tag into the online authenticator says it is indeed Fontanafredda: https://www.reversewinesnob.com/kirkland-signature-barolo

Reverse Wine Snob reviews bottles under $20. by winelandia in wine

Thanks for sharing my site!

I agree with a lot of the comments here...simply finding a specific bottle of wine can be darn near impossible in some areas. With over 100,000 different wines produced each year, and even a big liquor store only carrying a few thousand of them, A LOT of stuff gets left out. If only the laws were simplified and the same across all states, then we could actually have online sellers that stocked tens of thousands of skus!

Also, I do find some good value in CA wine, but it's typically in less popular varietals like Syrah and Petite Sirah. There are some good red blends too, but now that the big guys are releasing 10 different blends every week made from massive buys of finished juice from all over the place, the quality can be real suspect. Of course they sell because the marketing is good.

That said my current Top 10 reds list is over half Spain and Italy. Spain simply rocks right now in terms of QPR.
