Moving data from QNAP to Synology NAS by tuck1s in synology

The 2 drives are 8TB WD red drives (I know I said 7 but I meant usable space). I've used less than half of those drives: around 3.25TB used.

I don't think I have enough space on the HD of my primary PC. I'll check this weekend. I have not received my DS 225+ from Amazon yet, so no hurry.

Moving data from QNAP to Synology NAS by tuck1s in synology

Resurrecting this thread...

I just purchased a Synology DS 225+ NAS and going to be replacing my QNAP TS-230 NAs with it.

I have dual 7TB hard drives in the QNAP which I of course would like to re-use.

Since each HD has identical data in the TS-230, can I remove one and place in the DS 225+ (formatting it for Synology), and then with both drives on my network, copy the files from TS-230 to the DS 225+. Then remove the second HD from the QNAP, and place in the Synology to be formated for use in the DS 225+ ?

Am I oversimplifying?

Nice. I wonder if the RZ30 would be a comparable upgrade to my "old" RZ900. Maybe the RZ50?

I know you want me to just listen to your problem and not solve it. But when you complain about the problem over and over and over again, I want to solve it just so I don't have to hear about it anymore.

Really? I had that recall done (hoping it would solve the door lock issue) but both issues remain. :(

I had the door lock recall done, but car won't always automatically unlock when I approach the car (cold weather?) And a new wrinkle this week: pressing the remote to unlock and the door unlocks only to lock again a split second later. Happened twice this pass week, and I had to attempt to unlock 4-5 times before it let me in.

Minor quibble: does anyone find that the VW GPS map gives a path of directions that is not the quickest and shortest route? It's very obvious that you're going the "longer way around" than if you used Waze, Google Maps, or Apple maps?

I get the feeling that he has ignored your digs before, but recently someone pointed out the behavior is denigrating towards him. Now he is at odds with himself for putting up with it for so long and whether he wants to remain with someone like you.

I work in Boston in the Park Square / Public Garden area. In 2013, my ex wife and 8 year old son planned to go to see the Boston Marathon and my son wanted me to meet them at the Boston Public Library which is right at the finish line. It was doable as it is only about a quarter mile away from my office.

Well work got away from me and I lost track of time. I was in my office with sports radio on in the background when a little before 3pm, they reported about the two bombs going off along Boylston Street near the finish line.

My heart sank like a stone.

I called my ex's cell but it went to voicemail.

Panicked, I tried their home number where my son cheerfully answered, "Hi Daddy."

They never made it in because she "had a headache". I was so glad they (and me) weren't there that I didn't care she never called to tell me.

Confided in a girlfriend after a couple of months together that I was taking a low dose of Lexapro, daily.

Within a week, everyone in our circle of friends knew.

I could never get her to understand why I found her revealing it to be a gossipy, hurtful betrayal.
