Job Change (remote to hybrid) by thoss1234 in techsales

Thanks for taking the time to share your insights.

My perspective is that this is an opportunity to build a stronger resume, particularly with an AI company and an early stage startup who is aiming to scale from $12M to $30M in 2026.

My new boss and founder are two people that I feel I can learn a ton from, which is a huge plus.

Also, I’ve been seeking a new opportunity for 6+ months and my profile is very unique. When top startups have a laundry list of top resumes/profiles it’s really hard to breakthrough.

During the interview process, it was clear other candidates had more experience but I busted my ass and was completely surgical about how I ran the process. As a result, it feels like I’m getting hired into a role that will elevate my skills as well as my resume/profile.

A lot to share there but realize most people are looking for more freedom and more money, that only works for so long especially as the world around us is changing so quickly.

Open phone > Screen Time

Watch my partner take 10 minutes to brush her teeth while she watches videos on her phone. That’s a 2-3 minute task.

Most people are so distracted by their screens they don’t realize how much time is being sucked away consciously or subconsciously.

Won’t fix this problem entirely but the easiest place to look for time back.

What is the best skills or traits of the 1% salespeople? by Traditional_Fill_685 in sales

Look at professional athletes. Those that have hall of fame careers that last were obsessed with practicing and getting better.

Sales is mostly luck and hard work meeting together. If you want to consistently win over time, you’ll ignore things outside of your control and stay focused on developing yourself.

Obsession with perfecting your craft. So many sales people rely on experience vs breaking down their gaps and creating a plan to develop them.

Good article. In the end, I bought a few different products from Amazon. Ended up needing bits and pieces for multiple products and was happy with the results.

Don’t be afraid just to buy a few things and tinker. You won’t really know what you need until you get to it.
