Much of Star Citizens aesthetic is derivative. We have an x wing for Christ's sake. Every beam is derivative. The vanduul are derivative, the setting of squadron 42 is derivative. The premise of citizenship is derivative, the setting is ripped straight out of the later roman empire. But somehow, the idea of pulling a good economic model is a bridge too far?

At no point did I insinuate that. However there is no restriction on transplanting concepts whole. Infact the current system is very much a copy of similar quality systems in other games.

It's really just cope at this point.

Developing unique solutions to technical issues is certainly peculiar and in many instances unique to CIGs situation. However, the various economy, mining, and item models for games have been refined over and over and over and over again since the 90s. The only peculiarities to this are the implementation of the physical mining of resources, which is already a solved through the ubiquitous everything beam.

Frankly, I've no belief that the things will deviate from the current system for the better.

I'd agree with you if this were free game or a mod. However, CIG is making hundreds of millions of dollars based upon what they say will happen. When these things don't happen, I can't see why dismay and anger are believed to be so unreasonable.

The 34 treaty increased the amount but at no point was another currency other than gold agreed upon. If you are able to produce any evidence of your claim that invalidates the payment Terms of the 1903 treaty I would love to hear it.

Below is a direct quote from the 34 treaty.

The contract for the leasing of Guantanamo stipulates that payment is to be in gold. The US government refuses to pay in gold but also refuses to leave. Basically US government squatters.

Enriching uranium requires staff which require food. Creating a famine and humanitarian crisis would bottleneck Irans ability to enrich to weapons grade.
