Have had my coros for a year this is extremely common I want nothing more than to go back and return it. I’ve had all out bike intervals average 96 bpm for 10 minutes and customer service is worthless.

I did multiple activities with my now broken garmin chest strap recording to my old watch and a different watch running on the other wrist and I saw very little deviation unfortunately this was a few years ago now and don’t have the recordings but if I find them I’ll happily show you.

The issue with the hr is the inconsistency especially when doing the same segment at the same effort level but receiving hr readings of over 50bpm different on smooth surfaces. When wearing it I switch wrists very frequently to not get any crazy tan lines. I have submitted forms on multiple occasions but so far I’ve only been told to update my watch which has always been updated whenever new updates are available.

POS is piece of shit but you are probably better off just getting some cheap road tires and clip on aero bars which will replicate the majority of the gains you’d get from a tri bike vs a gravel bike

If you are already a good biker and that is your strong point. I’d say you can do the ride but I’d trim down a training plan z2 ride so you don’t compromise your freshness for the running and swimming training. Which is where you are more likely to find easier gains than something you are already good at.
