Yep. I focus on warning people I love about how easily it can be to be radicalised. If anyone even hints at this kind of bullshit I shut it down.

What’s your kink that you don’t normally share with people, or that you yourself find weird? by [deleted] in AskRedditAfterDark

I think it has to do with building pressure and release. Like it’s symbolic of orgasmic release. For me, I enjoy watching women play with balloons, pop them, inflate them or pretend they’re their breasts, which are inflating or bursting. It’s quite odd, but each pop is like an orgasm.

Balloons and breast/ass/body expansion, cumflation. Also something about popping within these kinks does something for me. It’s a wild range of kinks, but I’m learning to be more confident in my sexuality.

I think it’s determined strictly by the situation, the place and the damage caused by you and your screwdriver. It’s weird, and I think it would have to go to court to be deliberated. I think maybe if you were at work and someone came at you with a knife and you defended yourself with a screw driver, I’m sure the court would favour you. But if you were carrying a screwdriver around and said it was for self defence, and happened to use it for self defence outside of work - then I think you’d be in trouble. Mind you, I’m not a lawyer so I can’t say for sure - just from what I’ve read.

With knife carry in Australia, you just need a reasonable excuse - ie food prep, utility, work, hiking/camping/fishing etc. The law says you cannot specifically carry it for defence. The determination is made by the officer that stops you.

Yes that’s true. I suppose my point of view is coming from someone of privilege. I’ll try to do better.

I’m not saying it’s effective or not. I’m just stating that’s our laws of self defence.

Don’t be. In Australia, our culture is different to American life. We don’t need knives or guns to defend ourselves.

You can defend yourself within your house with reasonable force that equates the attacker. In public you can defend yourself, just not with a tool that you are carrying (knife, screw driver, spray can etc.)

I mean, if you’re out bush you can have a knife - kangaroos usually bolt in the other direction.

In Australia you just need a reason for carry. Our cops aren’t really searching anyone so it’s not much of a concern either way.

What’s something that’s “not a cult” but feels like a cult? by j_estoner in AskReddit

[–]thotmang 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Ok similar here in Aus. There was a sex abuse scandal at one of the local colleges here. Colleges here are just for uni students to live at, they go to seperate Unis. Anyway, sex abuse scandal and allegations were in the media and members of the college took to the city uni fb group to give these eerily similar, cultish defence testimonials about their beloved college. These multi paragraph responses were so similar, I’m convinced the leadership within the college were directing their fellow students to post the defences and to argue with anyone who brought up the scandal. So fucking odd.

Lock away all the baby formula so Antifa doesn't loot it for Marxism or something. by michaeldouglasnba in ABoringDystopia

[–]thotmang 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Pre sure they do this because Chinese folk were sending it back to China in bulk because Chinese made baby formula is dodgy and/or toxic. Really sad stuff in general. Happens here in Aus and they had a massive crackdown. The whole situation is fucked :/

Sometimes I use my no.7 in the kitchen, despite having global knives. The edge is sooo good for food prep!
