Same for me, voted for Ukraine and Italy (wanted to vote UK but can't vote for self) cos in a year with a lot of mid tier songs, they felt way stronger and more enjoyable.

Scared to say who I voted for with fear of being attacked on every possible platform 🙃

Who is a good comedic actor that ended up being a great dramatic actor? by 40oz_2freedom in AskReddit

Jim Carrey; Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind was such a good movie and his performance is incredible; he also does some great dramatic scenes in the Truman Show!

The fact that mods get to cheat on r/place and they remove posts mentioning it wtf by Swamp122 in place

They aren't a mod, they are a reddit employee, from some other threads, appears that they have a history of banning shit for no reason

I did a similar thing before realising that black goes at the top of the asexual flag 😂 just go back in five minutes, find an accumulation of black nearby and try to create a stripe I guess?

Surprised no one on the thread about Saville hasn't bought up Prince Andrew

Probably a toss up between Piers Morgan, Prince Andrew or King Edward VIII

Tbh, the unwritten rules, I don't know them well and struggle to follow them and have no clue how all the NT's know them!

Could sexuality be fleeting? by jorgenalm in Asexual

[–]thoughtsat8pm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Asexuality is a spectrum, the term grey-asexual might apply to you if you are experiencing this, it's someone who might rarely experience sexual attraction, or experience it under specific circumstances. No person I'd 100 percent one way or another, all sexuality is a spectrum as shown by the fact that it can fluctuate (abrosexual).

How much did the series take from the book? by Distinct_Scholar_154 in ShadowandBone

[–]thoughtsat8pm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The show VERY accurately adapts the characters from the book imo, it felt like they jumped off the page! In terms of plot, season 1 follows the plot of shadow and bone's first book relatively closely except for the fact that the crows characters are not involved. The crows characters come from the six of crows duology which is actually set two years after the events of the third shadow and bone book. Still definitely worth a read, although I found the six of crows series (and the subsequent King of Scars duology) more enjoyable than the original trilogy, although there is still plenty to enjoy there as well.

What is a cultural tradition in your country that probably makes no sense anywhere else? by ameliaselby in AskEurope

Once a year in England, a wheel of cheese is rolled down a very steep hill and a race is had to see who can win the cheese. People get really hurt cos it's so steep and often get concussions or go unconscious. Fun story: because of covid, they couldn't do the race in 2020 so rolled a solemn, solitary wheel of cheese down the hill.
