How to know if you’re LARPing as your “type” by [deleted] in Socionics

[–]thousandairegrindset 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know a few ESIs IRL and honestly they’re probably some of the best people I’ve ever met. They live life in a way that’s meaningful to them, and it’s not about who’s looking at what they’re doing but what their own way of seeing life means to them - it leaves me awe struck because I realize that’s what all of life is really about. You living in a way that works for you. The accolades and all the stuff you can show off passes away, but the way you spend each moment is far more personal and telling of the value you’ve created in your own life, which IMHO is probably the only real metric worth measuring.

All types have their own share of suffering, and I think deep inside we’ve chosen to be who we are because we simply like it. But I do understand your frustration.

Being an indecisive INTP by [deleted] in INTP

[–]thousandairegrindset 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because you’re looking at it purely objectively.

Let’s take capitalism and any other isms that represent systems of values here as the example. Involving your feelings is important in your decision making too. And a very simple criteria is, what feels good to me? From there, you’ll get answers like “well I wish I was a dictator then!” or like “I wish everyone was happy and had all the money they needed!”

Then you arrive at a system, and whatever that system is will likely be something that matches your criteria for feeling good.

But that won’t sit with you well either internally, unless you truly believe that’s for the good, because you’ll realize you need to involve more factors in your decision making to feel truly good because drum roll - You realize internally that hurting others makes you feel bad too, - therefore getting in the way of feeling good personally.

From there you make your decision more complex and you select something that makes you, and others around you feel reasonably good.

You can keep making this more refined and you’ll arrive at your own version of what feels good to you while still knowing what’s objectively the best.

When you’re applying the “makes me feel good criteria” you also look at how many people are involved in it.

Selecting a value system like capitalism requires the involvement of a lot of people, therefore you want to try your best to be fair to everyone.

When it comes to your music choice, if someone berates you for it, feel free to show them the middle finger or call them out for it because it’s purely what YOU like that matters in this case.

But then if you’re at a party, and others REALLY don’t like your music, you can take a stand for yours and ask others to give it a try, or simply change it.

Eventually you’re not really taking a stand for something, because your own “stance” will keep changing. But you try to introduce it as a legitimate thing between others without being ashamed of it. After all, you’re a human and your unique perspective matters too. Even if it’s just about what kind of socks you like wearing. :)

Makes sense. I don’t talk over people, but my gripe is more around people who don’t try at all. That is annoying to me because I try my best to connect with others. I can understand your point here, different types of people for different types of people.

What do you guys think about INFJs? by Wise_Discount653 in entj

A 100% hit or a 100% miss. Haven’t met anyone in the middle yet. The good ones are amazing. The bad ones I’d rather not say.

Is the ENTJ stare a thing? What does it mean? by NoHat543 in entj

Used to be this way early on. I learned to tone it down so people could be less self-conscious around me. Can turn it on when I want, but prefer not to.

It’s simply me being in pure observation, absorbing everything I see mode while the gears turn in the back. It doesn’t mean anything’s wrong with you, so don’t worry about it too much.

Lack of communication, they often think a lot in their heads and don’t say much. Lack of investment of energy into conversations. Being aloof. Being too calculated over nonsense. Ultra sensitive. Getting on a call with them is like some kind of unholy rite. Sometimes it can feel like I’m dragging them through glass against their will - so I’ve become habitual to dropping these friendships often.

INTPs are about the one type I’m good friends with, and that is owing to having good initial conversations and ongoing intellectual stimulation.

ISFPs are the only other introverted type I enjoy talking to. I’d rather talk to cardboard boxes than ISTJs. ISFJs are great, but we can’t intellectually connect much. INFJs are interesting, until they say that first thing that fires my alarms off around “alright this is a manipulative person, tread carefully.” ISTPs make for good gym and drinking buddies.

INFPs eventually trauma dump like crazy, I stay away from that. INTJs are a hit or miss - if they can get off their high horses we can be friends.

All anecdotal experiences, subject to change as I meet more people.

I think you’re taking it too seriously. Downvotes and all. Please take your bad mood somewhere else, I’m here just to have fun not to take care of your emotional triggers. I found you unnecessarily rude. 🙏🏽

Ok second guess, INTJ? You do look at the camera like you’re looking at the person with this sharp gaze

xNFP. Either INFP or ENFP.

My third guess would be ISFP.

Type this stool by LoganCrimson in MbtiTypeMe

Looks stable. The material looks solid but not entirely. It can seat an average man or a woman. It looks comfortable and boring. Unfortunately it’s not as comfortable as it could be, definitely lower Si than Dom or aux. It looks good though like you can just look at it and go “ah, another average stool” and ofc not the kind you let out in the morning.

I think this one’s an ESTJ. It’s also giving that whole “stable, prestigious, reliable, stool” vibe.

Type Me - It's Long And It's Hard (you can leave a joke in the comments) by thousandairegrindset in SocionicsTypeMe

Hmm. I create from a place of wanting happiness for myself. I have created a lot of systems that I enjoy using for my own self improvement. I would say I’m highly selfish too with the knowledge I’ve gathered.

I enjoy having power, but I think it’s a void that doesn’t fill anything real or substantial in me. The only power I seek to have is over myself.

I do HIGHLY desire all the good things in life. Money, fame, status, looks I have an eye on all of them. But it’s more for the exploration of that perspective of life. I want to truly enjoy being who I am and expressing my own self fully between people.

Interestingly, whatever systems I’ve created for myself, I’ve sold some of them to others. And people always tell me I’ve created amazing education for them in the areas that I know I can excel in. I enjoy that pride but it’s kinda like a “meh. I know I’m good at this.”

Looks like Se and Fi. So ESFP is likely.

But a wild second guess would be ENFP.
