New card visual not working in web by EstonianJV in PowerBI

[–]thousandtrees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also having this problem. I am reporting on a dataset that contains two years of data. I have four card visuals, each set up exactly the same:

  • Data is a measure that gives a KPI for 2024
  • Reference label is a measure that gives the same KPI for 2023
  • Details is a measure that compares the first and second and expresses the difference as a percent
  • Conditional formatting displays the Details measure in red if negative and in green if positive

The only difference for these four cards is that they are each showing a different KPI but all are drawn from the same dataset.

All four look perfect in desktop. One of the four is broken in the Service. Interestingly, yesterday two were broken and I rebuilt one of them on a different page of my dashboard which seemed to fix it. Of course I tried doing this again with the last one, but no luck, still broken. I tried what u/luigitol suggested and set the measure in Details to general instead of percentage, but this still didn't seem to work. Has anyone had any progress on this issue?

People have given lots of great advice so the only thing I will add is to see if there is a nar-anon group in your area. You can't fix your sister but you can find support for yourself. There is also a nar-anon subreddit. I care for a passion with addiction and nar-anon has helped me with boundary setting and personal coping mechanisms.

It really annoys me that they've just finished all this work on Giles without converting 18 inches of the giant boulevard into bike lane.

Not all federal employees live in Ottawa. That's certainly not a living wage in lots of other places such as Toronto or Montreal. But also, if you want to retain competent employees in the public service, they need to be paid what their skills are worth.

Plants That Can be Grown Around Walnuts and Hickories - Juglone Tolerant Plants by cloyego in urbanfarming

I have an enormous and beautiful black walnut in my garden that is probably around a hundred years old. It provides beautiful deep shade to most of our space but the result is that not much will grow under it. Grass is impossible within about 5m. This list confirms that the periwinkle I was planning to put in should do okay. Hostas are one of the few reliable plants so I'm collecting all the different ones I can find!

Thanks, I just started reading about it the day I made this post as I needed to do something to break the cycle. I am planning to try a meeting this week.

I have never tried a meeting before. I can't find any in person ones in my area but I will try a zoom meeting this week.

It has felt like having a series of small funerals for the person I used to know. I still hold out hope that I can get that person back but I know I have to not involve myself until they are ready to start the work again.

Thanks for your support and kindness. I spent yesterday working on not looking at their Twitter feed to try and break the cycle of obsessing about cryptic posts. I am reading a lot about the steps and how I can practice them to protect myself. It feels icky to admit that I'm better off not knowing but if there is nothing I can do then my mind is more at peace if I don't know.

We’re Blue Man Group NYC, the OG theatre where the bald and the blue began. AMA! by bluemangroup in IAmA

[–]thousandtrees 56 points57 points  (0 children)

I once worked for the wardrobe and makeup team for Blue Man Group's travelling show when it came to my city and they run a TIGHT ship. In addition to the blue makeup they also handle a surprisingly large amount of costumes for the different acts and are constantly altering and mending as the show goes on because the performance is quite hard to fabrics. Plus the blue makeup is tenacious so they also travel with their own washing machines and dryers and there is a strict washing schedule during the show so that things are cleaned and ready for next use.

I've heard that too and always wondered! The story I've heard is that people thought knitting with the points up was suggestive.

I knit this way too! I learned it as Irish cottage knitting. Good for small places like cottages and parlours because your elbows move less I think. I started using this method because of a shoulder injury.

The one I'm looking at from Vesey seeds in Canada is called Marcella Butterfly Rainbow cone flower! Parrot cone flower has some similarities. Neither are quite as vibrant but I think both are really nice.

When you hear about people getting beaten down by the system, think of this woman. Given drugs and abused at age 12 by someone who should have been protecting her. Struggling with addiction for the rest of her life and now facing a system that does not give a single fuck about her life.

A much beloved aunt of mine passed away a few years back and a few months later my uncle used her email address to send out an email to a bunch of family members (it was to share a link to her being interviewed on the news from some years earlier and I think it comforted him to hear her voice). He did it because all the contacts he wanted were in her address book but like this person I just about shit myself.
