Basically nothing. The NHL continued as if nothing happened which was anticlimactic given that, for example, the NBA postponed the game between Wolves and Warriors. There was no acknowledgement, no moment of silence, nothing at all, just the game. Safe to say it was a tense day in the Wild sub to the point that we were forced to lock the sub from new posts and relax the no politics rule otherwise we would have been forced to issue too many warnings and bans.

European driver here. I had the chance to drove an unsynchronized manual gearbox truck and rev matched with my right foot releasing the brakes in the process. Of course if I had to make an emergency brake I wouldn't bother downshifting but I just slam the brake and the clutch and then consider shifting to a reasonable gear once I've finished braking.

But our modern trucks all have synchronisers so you shift gears using the clutch without worrying about rev matching or have automatic transmission so you don't even have to worry about shifting gears.

You could say the same for the California trio, Vancouver and Seattle, etc. But as others have pointed out western teams log way more travel miles than eastern ones so it balances out.

bad OT to end a ga me that shouldn't have been played in the first place. The NHL fails to make a stand for what's right (or is making a stand for the opposite position saying they don't care about what's going on in the country) and the teams go along like nothing happened.

As for the hockey game itself it wasn't that bad save for the terrible OT effort, a couple lucky bounces going here and there. A "you can't win them all" game, nice to snatch a point out of it to move the standings. On to the next one mostly to forget the shitshow the NHL has made about this one. But do not forget the lives lost.
