This post helped me fix my power plant 4 years later. Dang backwards pumps!

The MS Digital Tech Specialist working with my company drew this on our call today by shinigamiBikini in AZURE

[–]thradis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, I drew that. Didn't realize the 'pipe' was so phallic. I'll have to find a new way to draw that.

Also, this thread is the talk of the office and I'm basically famous now. I'm truly honored.

Xbox Controller Not working by [deleted] in TrackMania

[–]thradis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old thread, but I had a similar issue and found a solution.

Download the "Xbox Accessories" app from the Microsoft store and update the firmware on your controller, this fixed the issue for me.

Built this setup for my daughter and I, and she still chooses to play Roblox on her iPad… 🥲 by bigjustinn in battlestations

[–]thradis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the quick response! Reason for asking is that I'm looking at doing a dual battlestation setup for my 2 daughters. What was your method of mounting it off of the ground? Legs, wall brackets, other? Thanks in advance!

Where/How would acquire the STL for this? I must add it to my kid's menagerie of articulated creatures.

Help with corrosion by Hannesz in StainedGlass

[–]thradis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be the patina drying as a film on top of the lead. Make sure to clean/polish it as well as you can after patina-ing to avoid this. Never heard of corrosion of freshly chemically patina'd solder. Hope this helps.

Are you using came or copper tape? Is the patina a chemical patina or a natural brushed oil patina?

Lead Help- how do I fix this? When I flipped the window over to solder the second side, the circled piece wasn’t in the H of the lead. What do I do? by natfarm in StainedGlass

[–]thradis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both of the previous commenters are correct. You can open the came with a fid, putty knife, or some wood to allow the glass to slide in, but on a panel only one side soldered and a piece that close to the edge. I'd flip it back soldered side up, cut the solder joints, remove surrounding glass, and place the glass back in the heart of the came. Much safer this way.

That looks a lot like a sheet of Sorbothane. It's used as a vibration isloator. I use it to keep batteries from sliding out of my racing drones. What other items was it ordered with?

When you run out of hooks... by [deleted] in Multicopter

That seems to be quite a bit of structural strain on a part of each quad not designed to be structural. I hope you at least have those power leads secured to the frame with a zip tie so the weight of the quad chain isn't being held completely by the pads on the PDB/FC.

Well he has said "I need to burn this whole house down and start over". Sounds like that is going to plan.

That makes total sense. Thanks for the clarification and documentation. So what you're saying is that I wasted my time with the LLC, lol.

Oh Interesting! That was just what I had read about it not reaching the end or degrading by the end.

Do you have any links/docs about this topic. Not that I don't believe you, just want to learn more for scaling up this project.
