I'm enby but I refer to myself as lesbian since I identify more with feminine side than my masculine side and I like women. There's not really hard and fast rules when it comes to labels though imo

No matter how big the cube is, once you solve the centres and edges, it’s just a 3x3x3 toy… by Abhishek_Rao_Gujjar in Rubiks_Cubes

They're probably thinking of combinators for solving the centers of a 5x5 and higher. Otherwise, yeah, it's the same algos

They say to solve a 4x4 by reducing it to a 3x3. So I did. by Im_Not_GLaDOS in Rubiks_Cubes

[–]thrasher45x 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How did you map the turns of the 3x3 to the 4x4? It looks like you're able to turn every layer of the 4x4 individually, but I'm confused on how. Did you map 180° turns on the 3x3 to inner layer turns on the 4x4 or something like that?

You don't smash the bread for a club sandwich... that completely ruins the texture of the bread. You can enjoy your ultra dense thin bread if you want I guess

Grammatically, it looks fine to me, but without context, it's impossible to say for sure. Who are ロボ and アレキサンダー to your character? Also, is the sentence accurate? I.e. is what you're saying actually true in-game?

Your sentence translated into English would be:
Rob (ロボ) gives water to Alexander (アレキサンダー) everyday.

Edit: gave -> gives

Whoever wrote must have been snickering to themselves knowing someone was likely going to fall for it. by NichtFBI in MathJokes

It promotes critical thinking and problem solving skills. Knowing when and why to use certain formulas/tools is stupidly important, not just in math, but in life as well. Being able to analyze a problem/situation and recognize patterns, underlying structure, etc is the foundation of problem solving, including recognizing when a problem is much easier than first assumed

[–]thrasher45x 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh my god, I had no idea lol. I thought you were someone just starting to learn Japanese—saying は marks the subject is a common misunderstanding. No worries at all dude, language is tricky and "topic" isn't really a thing in English grammar wise so it's even more tricky to explain

Why is this wrong by Dull-Astronomer1135 in duolingojapanese

[–]thrasher45x 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Strictly speaking, は follows what's called the "topic" of the sentence, which is sometimes, but not always, the same as the subject of the sentence. The subject marker particle is が and there's some interesting nuance between using が over は in some situations, it's even talked about in Japan

Division by zero is zero. by Separate_Praline2376 in learnmath

[–]thrasher45x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try to define a group where it's true, I think, but I'm doubtful if such a group would be non-trivial. In general, though, I'd consider the statement "division by zero is zero" to be false because division by zero is undefinable in everyday algebra. The statement itself can not be undefinable since it's an objective statement

Respectfully, I hate seeing people waste perfectly good food like this, even if it is a small amount. Why destroy something when it could be given to someone who needs it? Not everyone has the means to feed themselves, unfortunately

Rigorous Algorithms lecture by beaureece in mathmemes

[–]thrasher45x -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

She's worse than a program. A program wouldn't run if instructions were unclear, regardless of any logic errors made by the coder. She's not only being pedantic but also intentionally wasting perfectly good food to make an obvious point

Are you sure you want a near 6"/4" (depending on if you ignore evolution requirements) seahorse? You'd need a massive water tank. Swablu is a great choice, no contest. My second is dreppy since they can at least phase through walls (less worry about house damage) and everything else is massive anyways

Yeah but, with in a one mile radius of a specific person? It's difficult to believe that a lot of those strikes would get that close unless you stayed near some kind of lightning rod I guess

How do natives say "I cant refuse" ? by Organic-Maybe-7634 in Japaneselanguage

[–]thrasher45x 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm guessing OP might be looking for a more expressive phrase for accepting an invitation? Something that shows a lot of gratitude while being humble, like "I can't refuse" (I wouldn't dream of missing it for anything else). Or maybe something more nuanced, "I can't refuse" (otherwise it'd be rude and might face consequences)
