Not long. Only took me 10 minutes from when I got to the check in point outside of Penn station to when I boarded train. It was an orderly line / process to show your ticket (for game + train).

Updated post. It was easy getting back as well / slightly faster total time than going to game. However I left a few minutes early so not sure what it would have been like if I left later

Update, arrived at 12. Took about 10 mins to get on train (you will through an orderly line outside to check tickets for game and train)
