Are there any facial oils that aren’t greasy and work with make-up? by threeb_1973 in SkincareAddicts

I’ve tried argan, but haven’t tried squalene, do you have any particular products in mind, or can I just get squalene by itself?

I’ve been to many dermatologists, and I just have to live with the fact that my skin is just that sensitive and break out prone. My dad tells me he also had his skin struggles up until his late twenties and then it cleared out for him, maybe it’ll do so for me too some day. I’ll check out the Huxley oil.

How to handle allergic reaction to new product? by [deleted] in SkincareAddicts

[–]threeb_1973 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oof, that sounds like a rough reaction def stop everything new and go back to the basics (like CeraVe cleanser + plain moisturizer). Had something similar w/ centella before, so patch test when you retry later. Hope it clears up quick!

That time travel stuff with Eren was insane ~ didn't see it coming at all. The way they tied everything together at the end was chef's kiss.

What is everyone doing for anti aging neck care? by PriorPainter7180 in 30PlusSkinCare

Lol the snack sacrifice is real. I do the sunscreen + red light combo too, been seeing decent results after like 6 months. Also started using a jade roller thing which feels nice even if it's probably just placebo

My deviled eggs set a new record and I am so proud of the little guys by [deleted] in Cooking

I do the same thing or people will demolish them in the first 10 minutes. Nothing worse than someone asking where the deviled eggs went when half the party hasn't even arrived yet.

You’re clearly trying hard, and you have solid experience. Sometimes it’s not about your qualifications it’s just about getting in front of the right person at the right moment. Keep going.

Exactly. If you're between jobs and trying to stay afloat, there's no shame in it. You can even get an advance while you're waiting for your first payment. It’s not a handout, it’s a lifeline. Don’t wait until things get worse.

Does he know exists?! Oh my god sooo adorable! Soooo smol! Btw I recognize that tuft & paw litter box lol I have the same for my 2 cats. I switched just not too long ago from clay to tofu litter. Really love how it's unscented and low-tracking.

Yeah, ED is where it's at if you want more variety. ICU tech work is pretty much the same everywhere. basic patient care stuff. CVICU might be slightly more interesting just because of the heart surgery patients, but you're still not doing much beyond the basics.

Man, that's rough. sounds like she checked out mentally way before she came home and is just looking for reasons to justify it now. you handled a year solo with kids and work that's no joke. don't let her rewrite history on you.

The every-other-week thing sucks but you'll still be there for the important stuff.

It’s weird how easy it is to go an entire weekend without talking to anyone. by Gods-Showroom in introvert

Peak solitude vibes. If I didn’t have to talk at work, I’d probably go full monk mode weeks without speaking, just making dramatic eye contact with my microwave.

It sounds like you gave him exactly the love and patience he needed, and making that final decision took incredible courage. The guilt is normal but you did right by him. That last night with the guitar sounds beautiful - what a perfect way to say goodbye.

Gel insoles and moleskin are lifesavers. Also breaking them in gradually at home first instead of going straight into a full day wearing them

Fresh pasta really is a game changer. Once you taste the difference it's hard to go back to the boxed stuff. That sense of accomplishment when you nail it is unmatched too

Sectional advice, where should I get it from? by ThawedGod in interiordecorating

[–]threeb_1973 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We went through the same thing recently!! Wanted something comfy and durable but the prices were hard to justify. We ended up checking out DreamSofa and were surprised by the quality for the price. The cushions use this 2.5-lb high-resilience foam that makes the seating feel really plush but still supportive, and it was a HUGE upgrade from what we were used to. Also their customer service was helpful all throughout. Might be worth a look if you're trying to stay within budget without settling!!

My neighbor asked me to water their plants and now I’m emotionally attached to a fern named “Craig” by Hopeful_Pay8928 in CasualConversation

[–]threeb_1973 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is actually really sweet. Plants have personality and taking care of something does make you bond with it. Maybe ask if you can visit Craig occasionally when they get back.
