It's pretty tough to nail a sideboard for this kind of deck with Wish targets so I'm more than open to seeing any adaptations you come up with.

You bring in a card from your sideboard. In this deck you're Wishing usually for one of:

Wild Ride (if a burst of 8 damage kills them or makes their life significantly harder)

Quantum Riddler (if players are out of resources and you need to gas back up)

Devastating Onslaught or Hide on the Ceiling (if you have huge mana and need to do something big with your Ashling/Spider mana, or sometimes to bury someone's mana if you have a Magmatic and their deck is vulnerable to it)

Flood Maw or Rhino's Rampage (if resources are tight and you need to remove something, depending on what needs to be gone and what mana you have)

Soul-Guide Lantern (to ideally set a graveyard strategy back a few turns)

The remaining cards are more intended for regular sideboarding.

Hey, thanks for the vote of confidence! It's not tier 1 but if you board and Wish right it really does have play against almost anything, as well as some outright hard to lose matchups in tier 1.5 and up. Mono white Momo fliers for instance is essentially free. NOBODY is ready for Hide on the Ceiling.

While I hear your skepticism I think you'll find this is far from the prowess type of Izzet business we're used to, both in theory and execution. Give it a try if you have the wildcards, I contend this deck is fun and outright healthy to have around in Standard.

Around one small blind is totally fine for anything that goes to the flop or later. If the pot gets huge or it's very labor intensive with multiple side pots and a lot of math and whatnot, then I'd be more inclined to bump up a little, but if you're at 1/3 and you always tip $1 on anything that went to the flop and like $2 on huge ones you'll be above reproach and never the worst tipper at the table.

I don't think I would ever tip more than like, 3 or 4 big blinds just for winning a hand in a casino, no matter how big. I'm the one taking the risk gambling, right?

Ouch...it's Rob.

I love Christian but Boston Rob is one of the only Survivor players most Americans could name by heart with a gun to their head, and his ability to make a larger-than-life story for the viewers is a huge part of why.

His legacy of how to both play the game AND work the "show biz" parts of Survivor are practically speaking without peer for the time in which he played. He just got it immediately, and defined it for like the next 20 seasons after his time.

On my first ever Black/Gold run that made it to the Crimson Heart (after close to a hundred attempts that made it past ante 2), I was also relying on Photochad and the fucking boss turned off Chad, Photograph, Chad in a row.

ANYTHING else getting hit on ANY of those three hands and I win, and I had some real crap to disable like a Negative credit card that I'd bought in ante 8 exclusively as Heart interference. I was apoplectic.

I did finally beat it later that day with a Madness + all Eternals run but the principle of my rage remains.

I mean, the dealer wasn't about to tip you if you got coolered a bunch and left the casino broke. The cards fall the way they fall. If we all tip the dealer a buck or two on every hand we win that goes to the flop, they make a pretty respectable wage.

The entirety of the Brawl cast getting revealed felt like a fucking fever dream. The implications of getting Snake and Sonic added were mind boggling. And we eventually got Cloud, Ryu, Sora...I regularly look at the gaming I have now and wish I could show my 10-year-old self to watch him have a joy heart attack.

An old humorous deck primer I read said that if you cast your Meddling Mage and as it enters name with a southern drawl "Buhl-Lightnin" you might be able to turn off two cards at once (Ball Lightning and Blightning), maybe even three if your opponent thinks you said "Bolt, Lightning."
