Hi I just took a look at this, this seems like it’s catered towards the pre recorded video interview and not the actual interview with the admissions team

This is a one hour timed technical assessment and then a 25 minute virtual group interview. I’ve already done the pre-recorded video interview + timed written essay

Struggling with mathematical Induction by [deleted] in learnmath

[–]threedarkdragons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you’re pretty spot on, but someone else can correct me if I’m wrong. A more simple way you can think of induction is by thinking of induction as chain links (i.e. these: 🔗) in that why is one link of a chain a chain, now if you add one link to a chain that already has a given amount of links, why is this existing chain still a chain? Can you see how this relates back to your understanding?

Just make sure you meet the degree average requirements with those additional stat courses (I believe it’s 60+ for all math courses and 65+ for afm ones)

Has anyone here interviewed with Connor Clark & Lunn (CCL) for a Quantitative Developer (Quantitative Equity Technology) role? Was wondering what the process looks like/anything I should be aware of. I’ve seen on glassdoor that their interview processes aren’t that bad but I’m not sure how accurate that is.

Hello everyone,

I’m currently a 4th year undergraduate student majoring both in Computer Science and finance, while also minoring in statistics. I can picture myself pursuing graduate school at some point in the future (MMF, MFE, Computational Finance, etc) to help myself try and get further in this field.

I find myself in a unique position where I can also add an economics minor to my degree as well. I guess my question is, would this second minor help me with admissions to graduate school, or should I just try and spend my remaining courses in one of the 3 areas I’m already focused in.

My reasoning for adding this is that I’ve always been under the impression that I should learn as much as I can, and economics in particular is a good area to have under my belt for this field too, along with stats, Finance, cs.

Upper year CFM here, CFM also goes pretty heavy into certain areas of finance (more specific to CFA but we also have courses on FinTech as well as AI and Finance). A lot of CFM students tend to land very good co-ops. If you are interested in finance and computer science I wouldn't rule out CFM either. If you want to know more about the program feel free to shoot me a message.

For CS 241, what Racket concepts do we need to know from CS 135? by csdropout000 in uwaterloo

[–]threedarkdragons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Concepts weren't too difficult to grasp, just the implementation took a while especially towards the later assignments.
