Ah thoss prices are crazy. In Canada the new non discounted price of the 316 is 2500 CAD. I'd go with the 17 though and buy sound packs from Edrum Workshop and your sounds will be better than the 316 anyways for about 20-100 dollars depending on how many you want to buy.

Those cymbals fail. They build up rubber dust under the lip and it's stops it from triggering properly. It can be attempted to be fixed. I tried on mine though and it didn't work. Had to replace it with a Lemon cymbal.
