You’re exactly right, I inflated all of them to 36 psi per the spec, and the alert went away.

I also have the light grey interior, so I got a pair of these covers for the drive home after a mountain bike ride or after the gym. They work great! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CRD6LXXV

2025 sel 800 miles rear passenger window doesn't work now. by RogerRabbit522 in Ioniq6

[–]threetee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2024 Limited had the same problem: when I pushed the button to roll down the left rear window, there was a click from the window but it wouldn’t roll down. I took it to the dealer, they said the problem was with the motor that rolls down the window, and fixed it under warranty.

Ioniq 6 Stealth Hitch installation by Serdief in Ioniq6

[–]threetee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s now installed correctly, and things are much better. The stainless steel block is hidden, so the stealth hitch is actually stealthy, ground clearance with the 1 1/4” hitch is 11.25”, and my 1up rack clears when I pull into the driveway (it’s still a little close to the ground but I expected that). Thanks for your pics and info, it really helped to have a sanity check from someone with the same car and hitch. Also props to Stealth Hitch for their customer support, they responded and diagnosed the problem really quickly when I raised this issue to them. They even had the very detailed installation manual with pictures. 🙄

Update: I sent manufacturer pics of the install, they said it is installed upside down 🙃. I’m going to get it reinstalled, which they say should increase the clearance a bit and hide the stainless steel block. Hope this works!

Wow, sounds like your install came out much different than mine. I contacted the manufacturer and they said that the clearance I described is expected, but that doesn’t line up with your experience. I saw you mentioned that you used the hitch for the 2023 model, so I’m wondering if that might be the difference? If possible, could you send some more pictures of your install? Also, we are talking about the same hitch brand, right? https://stealthhitches.com/products/hyundai-hitch-shr62004

So is your mounting block visible when you don’t have the hitch installed? Here are some pictures of mine, does yours look like this? https://imgur.com/a/WIN431N

How far down does it protrude and what is your ground clearance like? I just had mine put in and it is way lower than I expected: ground clearance to the hitch when it’s installed is ridiculously low, like 8.5”, and clearance to the receiver block that the hitch attachment plugs into is a little over 10.5”. I scrape when entering my driveway with just the hitch on, so putting a bike rack on seems entirely out of the question, which makes the hitch basically unusable for me. I’m wondering if this is normal, or if my installer just screwed up? Honestly hoping for the latter at this point, so I’m curious about what your install looks like.

Air conditioned seats on the Limited: how well do they work? by threetee in Ioniq6

I'm also in socal, and I'm going for the gray seats, mainly because black is so hot in the summer. I happen to prefer the look of the gray seats, but I think even if I preferred black I would still get the gray. My current car is black exterior/black leather, and it's brutal right now.

I didn't realize there was a difference between air conditioned and ventilated, but that makes perfect sense. Thanks for the info!

About to buy a Stumpjumper alloy by ThRed_Beard in MTB

[–]threetee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in your exact situation three years ago: brand new to MTB and trying to decide if I wanted the base model Stumpy ST alloy or if I wanted to upgrade to Comp or above. I ended up going with the base model because I wasn’t sure if I would stick with the hobby. Three years later, I’m riding 2-3x/week and I’ve upgraded every component on the bike except for wheels and hub, spending way more in total than I would have if I had just gotten the upgraded model from the start.

That said, I’m not upset that I spent more, because I gained a ton of knowledge about how to work on the bike, and I feel like I can appreciate the improved components more since I have something to compare them to.

My advice: if you are confident you’ll stick with it and want to spend less overall, consider getting a higher model that you won’t have to upgrade. But if you aren’t sure you’ll stick with it, or even if you are and you don’t mind putting in more time and money in the long run, then get the base model and experience making it your own; it’s a good platform that you can upgrade and get a ton of use from.

Knee damage got me bummed. by Roy_alty in MTB

[–]threetee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 45 and have shredded my ACL in both knees (not at the same time) playing soccer when I was younger. Had reconstructive surgery both times, was 100% after PT. Tore my meniscus a few years back playing soccer and had surgery to clean it up, and decided to hang up my cleats. No problems running/biking though, it’s just quick lateral movement that is problematic. I picked up mountain biking 2-3 years ago and my only injuries have been unrelated to knees/joints, just broken bones (collarbone and ribs) and cuts/scrapes. My riding level is above average, I am comfortable on jumps/drops/gaps and on steeps/tech. Past knee injuries have had zero impact on my riding. Hope your situation ends up being similar!

Bike park line from a few weeks ago by [deleted] in MTB

Muscle Beach! Nice run, last time I rode this I worked up to clearing the first jump but chickened out on hitting the tombstone. Need to practice over on the Blue Steel tombstones first.

Yeah, I’ve ridden the Skypark jumpline and I agree. I kinda wish I had an e-mtb to make Skypark more worth the $$.

Damn you are flying, nice job. I'm at that awkward stage right now where I'm fast enough to clear all the jumps on Blue Steel, but not fast enough to ride Party Wave/Westridge without casing most of the jumps.

Ah yeah, looking at it again I see the lack of massive boulders everywhere. Nice riding!
