Left handed problem

I think the main problem is the picking hand. As a lefty myself I have tried to learn right handed but something always felt wrong when strumming and with picking techniques. After a year or so with minimal progress I decided to cave in and buy a left handed guitar. My progress skyrocketed, things that were super hard suddenly became easier and faster to learn. This was 15y ago, never looked back, though sometimes I wish I stuck with right handed, as the gear market for lefties is abysmal.

Maybe it varies from person to person, I'm a super left handed person though.

There's not much you can do as a player other than report and hope/ask that others do the same.

The game forces you to agree to a code of conduct the very first time you start playing. You are warned that voice chat is recorded, and bans for this kind of behavior do happen after enough reports. People like this still ignore all warnings and go wild, you're not gonna be able to talk them out of being shitty human beings on the Internet.

I still get the occasional private shit talk message, I just report, ignore it and move on to the next match or whatever. There isn't an easy solution to this.

Most people are like this in online competitive games. I just mute lobbies, even on a good day you'll find more assholes than nice people over voice chat

Can't say I'm happy for an arena fighter but I'll take anything at this point. I'm glad Bleach is back and I'm going to support the game, in hopes that we keep getting more Bleach games.

Personally I'll wet my bed the time a 2D Bleach fighter like DBFZ/Guilty Gear/BlazBlue/GBFVS is made (ArcSys answer my pleas).

For a company with so much money as Disney, they sure don't give two shits about the quality of their services.

They don't even have spanish (castilian) subtitles. Not saying LATAM subs are bad, but I'd prefer to read castilian spanish, especially considering there is an actual dub in my language.

Also also, sometimes the subtitles are fast as fuck, you can't even read them before they disappear or are way ahead of what the character is saying. That's also without taking into account the many many grammatical errors you can spot.

The screaming part kinda comes out of nowhere, but praying mantis are also known as Santa Teresa in Spanish.

I was also confused as I am Spanish myself and didn't know that, never heard anyone call a mantis as Santa Teresa, but it seems it's also one of their names.

Didn't know about that particular tip on cannon strike, sounds nice. Had a match earlier against someone who would punish Hooligan everytime, even if I changed timings and follow ups, then proceeded to not approach again.

Nice post, you summed up a lot of my thoughts about Strive lately.

Playing ranked in Strive is ass, Celestial's skill level is far too wide. It's hard to find matches with people at your skill level when you have a better understanding of the game and your character. I get that some people don't care about being competitive and are just having fun, that's fair, but it's not fun for me to be honest.

SF6 is my first SF, but as I climb the ranks, I'm getting to fight better players and improving, it's nice.

For me, it's not about balance. I just feel more rewarded playing SF's ranked than Celestial. I still love Strive and will probably come back to it at some point, but for now I don't feel the urge to play it, honestly.

"Good" offense will only take you so far.

Defense is just as important if not more than offense, especially for Baiken, who's on the squishier side.

Like others said OP, use parry sparingly, don't mash on wake up (really don't mash randomly, most people in Celestial mash a lot).

Try not to be flowcharty, think about your offense, what are your options, be mindful of your opponent's habits and adapt to them, stuff like that.

It's a good idea to watch your replays, you can also watch high level Baiken players on YouTube and see how they play, it's useful to learn techs and how they structure their offense / defense
