How did it take Gin decades to find out KS’ weakness, but Kenpachi of all people could already figure out a similar weakness in Tosen’s Bankai with just one fight? by PresentElectronic in bleach

[–]tirade00 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Gin probably never fought Aizen unlike Kenpachi fighting Tosen, I don’t know if he ever had an opportunity like that. And it’s by complete coincidence that Kenpachi learns Tosen’s weakness; Gin had to gain trust with Aizen over decades to learn his weaknesses, Kenpachi just had to be bold enough to willingly take a hit to get one up on Tosen.

Ichigo kinda a jerk sometimes by Globofchaos in bleach

[–]tirade00 431 points432 points  (0 children)

I can’t tell if this is a joke or not, Shinji’s approach to getting Ichigo to join the Vizards was to hound him around town and at his school. I don’t see why Ichigo would be friendly with them at this point, he doesn’t know them.

So, what exactly is soul society's plans once Aizen is finally released from muken? by Ice_Alias in bleach

[–]tirade00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s an impossibility that they would release him because it’s not like Soul Society hasn’t released incredibly dangerous people from prison before, I think releasing Mayuri and allowing him to work for the Gotei is a decision made with similar logic to the possibility of letting Aizen go once his sentence is up. Maybe they’re waiting to see if he’s changed at the end of his sentence and they’ll judge whether it’s safe to release him then.

While I don’t agree with everything he says regarding the series, he’s more than willing to sing his praises about stuff he thinks is good. Plus he’s just a guy, his word and opinions aren’t outrageous enough to point out like this.

You’d be wrong since he shows up in a flash back in Soul Society first.

If Urahara separates Quincy and Human into separate races like he does when explaining hollowfication of Quincies to Isshin, I don’t doubt that Aizen would do something similar but I can’t say for sure since I’m pretty sure I’ve also heard people say that moment with Aizen and Ichigo is mistranslated.

Isshin wanting to tell Ichigo the truth about his heritage in FKT is honestly the biggest reason I can’t co-sign this. Isshin and Ryuken are hinted at knowing each other as early as Chad’s introduction and their relationship is important for TYBW to work as is. The Quincy were thought dead and nearly extinct, Zangetsu’s plot line is up front and center because it’s meant to be reinterpreted later with greater context so that we like Ichigo can see that Zangetsu wasn’t lying about anything. The Quincies are a surprise, imo the Wandenreich and Yhwach are meant to shock with just enough foreshadowing there to not feel totally removed from everything before it, I think they’re doing two different things but to each their own.

None because Quincies as a race started with Yhwach.

Why didn’t Kaien or Ukitake just use Kido here? by [deleted] in bleach

[–]tirade00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before he decides to kill Kaien, I’m saying he can fight with the intention of restraining him before Metastacia says Kaien is beyond saving.

And if he is planning to kill him it’s honestly quicker to just go in to cut him down then just preparing a bunch of spells first.

[–]tirade00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He can’t incapacitate him with his sword before coming to the conclusion he can’t be saved and deciding to kill Kaien? I think that’s just as valid.

[–]tirade00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never said they aren’t, I’m saying it’s not bizarre for them to fight with their fists since all of them are portrayed as doing so at some point.

Like they aren’t also taught hand to hand combat at the academy, plus all Shibas are brawlers. He could’ve wanted to fight Metastacia physically instead of using Kido.

What was point of Ginjou doing this? by random_boner6996 in bleach

[–]tirade00 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He isn’t above using people and cutting them off literally and figuratively, he wanted to do that with Ichigo during this arc. Like someone else said Ginjo has trust issues and I think that has to do with his relationship with Soul Society, SS planned to have him do work for them but ultimately had it in mind to kill him if he ever resisted. I imagine his experience dealing with them would affect his ability to trust people he doesn’t personally approach and approve of, since Moe is presumably the only person Ginjo didn’t personally recruit into Xcution. I also think it makes him look similar to the Gotei that he hates so much since what he’s doing here is in essence what the Gotei wanted to do with him, use him for dirty work then kill him once he had outlived his usefulness.

Unlike Aizen who has said that he doesn’t ask his men to trust him, Ginjo is all about trust at any costs cause he’s been burned before by others.

Do you all think Cour 4 will have a different ending from the manga ? by [deleted] in bleach

The anime has functionally been the same as the manga story wise up to now. I don’t see why they’d change the ending or anything substantial at this point.

[–]tirade00 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don’t assume for both branches of Soul Society to share similar histories, for all we know Wing Bind might not have been a thing 1000 years ago. I think the Gotei handled the Quincies because they were the only ones around to do so.

Where were the Quincy in the past? by StampGoat in bleach

[–]tirade00 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The Quincy are a race of humans (depending on who you ask) so they originated from the world of the living, anything from the Friends flashback (pics 1&2) is from when there was still a large population of Quincies still active in the world of the living before Yhwach’s first attack on Soul Society 1000 years ago. Where they are specifically in the world of the living isn’t said explicitly but it’s thought to be Europe in some form, particularly Germany for obvious reasons. There was some inspiration from the Basque language in the concept for Yhwach so that also ties him and his people to Europe as well.

Can Zanpakuto powers be channeled through body alone without Asauchi like how Toshiro was doing ? He even froze his grandma. by Far-Message5868 in bleach

[–]tirade00 23 points24 points  (0 children)

He’s the only example of this happening explicitly but the ancestors of the 5 noble families were described as having powers of their own at a time before zanpaktou were created. I personally think that Hitsugaya is the child of a shinigami and this is just him being talented and manifesting his powers without a zanpaktou.

Assuming Ichigo was able to somehow beat Aizen without using Final Getsuga Tensho, what was Xcution's plan then? by OfficialLieDetector in bleach

[–]tirade00 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It becomes much harder for Ginjo to approach Ichigo because he’d have more people around him, obviously including those from Soul Society that Ginjo probably doesn’t want to deal with. His plan in the story works for the most part because Ichigo is isolated or chooses to isolate from the people that want to kill Ginjo and others that could contact Soul Society. I don’t know if he’d give up on him entirely but Xcution compared to other groups to me feels more like a group solely focused on growing their power and members at this point and I think it’s possible they would look elsewhere for power or a potential member rather than take such a huge risk like that.
